Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a fire-retardant, thermoplastic resin composition which shows substantially improved fire retardancy without using a flame retardant, and uses phosphoric ester compound and organic titanium compound as a flame retardant. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises (A) 40-100 parts by weight of resin based on rubber modified styrene consisting of (a1) 20-90 wt% of styrene-containing graft copolymer resin having 10-68 parts by weight of rubber component, and 18-65 wt% of unsaturated nitrile-based monomer except for rubber component, and (a2) 10-80 wt% of styrene-containing copolymer resin having 18-65 wt% of unsaturated nitrile-based monomer; (B) 0-60 parts by weight of polyphenylene ether resin; (C) 1-30 parts by weight of aromatic phosphoric ester with respect to 100 parts by weight of the base resins(A)+(B); and (C) 0.01-20 parts by weight of organic titanium compound.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a fire retardant thermoplastic resin composition which has good fire retardancy irrespective of the kind of a resin by using en epoxy resin having a good char generating property together with a phosphorus-based compound. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin; 0.1-50 parts by weight of an epoxy derivative represented by the formula 1; 1-50 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based compound; and optionally 0-50 parts by weight of at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a dropping preventer, a plasticizer, a heat stabilizer, an antioxidizing agent, a photo stabilizer, a compatibilizer, a pigment and/or dye and an inorganic additive. In formula 1, X is an alkyl group of C1-C34, an aryl group, an aryl group substituted with an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, or an O, N, P or S-containing alkyl, aryl or aryl group substituted with an alkyl group.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A thermoplastic flame retardant resin composition and a product prepared by using the composition are provided, to improve the flame retardancy by employing copper compounds without adding char compounds. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber-modified styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer resin which comprises (a1) 20-90 wt% of a styrene-acrylonitrile grafted copolymer resin whose rubber content is 10-68 wt% and whose acrylonitrile content except the rubber component is 18-65 wt%, and (a2) 10-80 wt% of a styrene-acrylonitrile grafted copolymer resin whose acrylonitrile content is 18-65 wt%; 2-30 parts by weight of an aromatic phosphate ester compound; and 0.01-20 parts by weight of at least one copper compound selected from the group consisting of oxides, sulfides, chlorides, fluorides, phosphates, sulfates, nitrates and salts of organic acids including monovalent or divalent copper. Optionally the composition comprises further 0-60 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin.
