Abstract:
PURPOSE: A HPA3NT3-Chaetoceros salsugineum nuclear inclusion virus (CsNIV) capsid complex is provided to compensate for a weakness that water-soluble HPA3NT3 peptides are easily dissolved in sea water, thereby obtaining an anti-red tidal agent which is safe and useful in a marine eco-system. CONSTITUTION: A HPA3NT3-CsNIV capsid complex with an anti-red tide activity is prepared by loading an HPA3NT3 peptide with an amino acid sequence of sequence number 3 in CsNIV capsid. The HPA3NT3 peptide has an HPA3 peptide sequence of sequence number 2, in which 9th amino acid (Glu) and 13th amino acid (Ser) are substituted with lysine (Lys). PURPOSE: An anti-red tide peptide P5 with anti-red tidal activity is provided to ensure excellent red tidal activity without toxicity. CONSTITUTION: A P5 peptide has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. The P5 peptide is a peptide or derivative with enhanced positive charge and hydrophobic region by substituting one or more amino acids of CA-MA(crecropinA-magainin 2) peptide of sequence number 1. The P5 peptide has an anti-red tidal activity to C. polykrikoides, C. marina, or H. akashiwo. An anti-red tidal composition contains P5 peptides as an active ingredient.

CONSTITUTION: An antibiotics peptide with reduced citotoxicity is obtained by substituting phenylalanine of site 1 and 8 in an antibiotics peptide of sequence number 1 with alanine. The antibiotics peptide is denoted by sequence number 2. An antibiotics having antibacterial activity to gram-positive bacteria or gram-negative bacteria contains the antibiotics peptide as an active ingredient. An antibiotic peptide, and a composition containing the antibacterial peptide are provided to improve antibacterial and fungicidal effects and to remove cytotoxicity. An antibiotic peptide has the folding structure by replacing the glutamic acid of the 9th amino acid of the peptide HPA3 having the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2 with proline, and has the sequence represented by the sequence number 3. Preferably the hydrophobic and flexible regions of the antibiotic peptide is increased compared with the peptide having the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2.
