PURPOSE: A composition containing plant extracts for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases is provided to suppress No and prostaglandin E2(PGE2) generations without cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains Philadelphus schrenkii Rup. var. schnenkii or Allium microdictyon Prokh extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, C1-C4 low alcohol, or mixture thereof. The low alcohol is methanole or ethanol. Inflammatory disease is used for treating and preventing by administering Philadelphus schrenkii Rup. var. schnenkii or Allium microdictyon Prokh extract in the amount of suppressing inflammation. A health food composition of functional feed composition contiains Philadelphus schrenkii Rup. var. schnenkii or Allium microdictyon Prokh extract as an active ingredient.

본 발명은 옻나무 추출물, 이의 분획물 또는 상기 분획물에서 분리한 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 당뇨병 합병증 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 물, 알코올, 또는 이들의 혼합물을 용매로 하여 추출되는 옻나무 추출물, 이의 분획물 및 상기 분획물에서 분리한 화합물은 당뇨병 합병증의 원인인 소르비톨 축적을 일으키는 알도스 환원효소 억제효과 및 최종당화산물 억제효과를 나타내며, 또한 세포독성이 없는 안정한 물질로 확인되었으므로 당뇨 합병증 예방 및 치료용 조성물로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.

A food composition comprising the extract of Cutleria cylindrical is provided to improve cancer chemoprevention by inducing activity of quinone reductase as a marker enzyme of cancer prevention and cause no toxicity to human cells. A food composition for cancer chemoprevention comprises 0.001-99.9 wt.% based on the total weight of food, or 0.001-0.1g, preferably 0.05-0.1g in 100 ml of drink of the extract of Cutleria cylindrical which is prepared by extracting Cutleria cylindrical with water or organic solvent such as ethanol, and is formulated as chewing gum, caramel, candy, ice cream, confectionaries, drink, mineral water, alcohol drink, or vitamin- or mineral-containing food.

A method for extraction of leaves of Phyllostachys nigra is provided to prevent destruction of natural antioxidants and improve extraction yield by using high hydrostatic pressure without heat treatment, and inhibit environment pollution by using water as solvent. A method for extraction of leaves of Phyllostachys nigra comprises the steps of: (a) adding water into the dried leaves of Phyllostachys nigra; (b) inserting the water added leaves of Phyllostachys nigra into a high hydrostatic pressure device and treating it under the pressure of 200MPa or more for 1-3 minutes; and (c) leaving the pressure-treated leaves of Phyllostachys nigra at room temperature to extract antioxidants from the leaves of Phyllostachys nigra. A cosmetic composition contains the antioxidants extracted from the leaves of Phyllostachys nigra and is formulated as soap, lotion, cream, pack or solution. Further, a step of hydrating the leaves of Phyllostachys nigra is additionally comprised between the step (a) and the step (b) in the method.

Extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich having hangover-removing and anti-oxidant activity is provided to promote in vivo alcohol metabolism and reduce blood alcohol concentration and acetaldehyde concentration by increasing activity of alcohol dehydrogenase and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, and remove radicals without side effects. Extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich having hangover-removing and anti-oxidant activity is prepared by extracting Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich with water, C1-C3 lower alcohol including methanol or ethanol or a mixed solvent thereof for 2-4 hours. A composition for removing hangover comprises 0.0001-50 wt.%, preferably 0.01-5 wt.% of the extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich, wherein the composition is a health food composition.
