Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for generating high power femtosecond light pulses by combining nonlinear polarization rotation and saturable absorption. An apparatus for generating optical fiber femtosecond light pulses is an apparatus based on the optical fiber of a ring-type structure including a laser source. A nonlinear polarization rotation mode locking part generates ultrahigh frequency pulses with pulse shaping and is formed on the apparatus. A saturable absorption mode locking part performs the nonlinear filtering of the pulse amplitude, prevents the excessive nonlinear phenomenon of the apparatus, generates an initial pulse, and removes a dispersive wave generated from a soliton pulse.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A micro fiber laser resonator based on a saturable absorber mirror and an optical filter is provided to obtain a relatively high yield by providing a high repetition rate in comparison of a micro laser of a bulk type. CONSTITUTION: Output light from a pumping light source(301) comprising a laser diode is outputted through a light coupler from an oscillator. Pump light is absorbed in an ytterbium added optical fiber(303) while being entered in the oscillator through a wavelength splitter(300). Partial light is oscillated in output passing through a light coupler(302). The light oscillating the rest of the oscillator passes a wave plate(304) and a light shielding unit(305). A horizontal polarization component is clipped in both ends of a spectrum passing through an optical filter(306). The clipped horizontal polarization ingredient enters a lens(309) and a saturable absorber mirror(310) passing through a polarizing beam splitter(307) and a λ/4 wave plate(308).

본 발명은 광섬유 펨토초 레이저의 모드잠금 자동화 장치에 관한 것으로, 펨토초 레이저 소스를 구비한 링 캐비티(ring cavity) 구조를 갖는 공진기, 파장판과 편광판을 구비하고, 상기 공진기에 출력되는 펨토초 레이저를 입력받아 상기 파장판과 편광판의 회전각을 조절하여 모드잠금을 위한 편광을 조절하기 위한 자동편광조절부, 상기 공진기에서 출력되는 펨토초 레이저의 모드잠금 전/후의 스펙트럼 차이를 감지하여 모드잠금을 위한 신호를 감지하는 모드잠금감지부 및 상기 자동편광조절부와 모드잠금감지부를 프로그램에 의해 제어하여 모드잠금 신호를 감지하면 모드잠금하는 제어부;를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이와 같이 구성되는 본 발명은 광섬유 펨토초 레이저의 비선형 편광 횐전 방식의 모드잠금과정을 자동화하여 짧은 시간에 모드잠금시킬 수 있는 이점이 있다.

PURPOSE: An automation device of a passive mode-locking process of optical fiber femtosecond pulse lasers is provided to allow the mode lock of optical fiber femtosecond lasers for a short time by automating a manual mode locking process of a nonlinear polarization rotation manner. CONSTITUTION: A resonator(100) has a ring cavity structure including a femtosecond laser source. An automatic polarization control unit(107) includes a wave plate and a polarizing plate. The automatic polarization control unit controls a rotation angle of the polarizing plate and the wave plate by receiving femtosecond lasers outputted from the resonator. The automatic polarization control unit controls polarized light for mode lock. A mode lock sensing unit(114) senses a signal for the mode lock by sensing a spectrum difference after or before the mode lock of the femtosecond lasers outputted from the resonator. A control unit(200) controls the automatic polarization control unit and the mode lock sensing unit with a program.

PURPOSE: Laser processing apparatus and method using the interference between polarized light laser beams are provided to facilitate the control of processing a product, and to improve the process accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A laser processing method using the interference between polarized light laser beams comprises the following steps: locating the focus of a lens(103) on the surface or the inside of a product(104); radiating first and second lasers(203, 204) interfering each other to the lens; and changing the property of the product in the constructive interference space.

CONSTITUTION: A laser processing apparatus(1) using the plasmon resonance includes an conductive material(102) and a laser generating unit(100). The laser generating unit irradiates the conductive material with laser(104) for generating the electric field from the conductive material. Electrons(401) of a processed product(103) disposed near the conductive material are extracted by the electric field.

PURPOSE: A cutting method through the nonlinear focal shift of a femtosecond pulse laser is provided to efficiently cut and process a thin transparent material using a femtosecond pulse laser and a lens. CONSTITUTION: A cutting method through the nonlinear focal shift of a femtosecond pulse laser is as follows. A modified section is formed by plasma defocusing based on the multi-photon ionization of a femtosecond pulse laser(100) irradiated to a workpiece(200). The modified section is lengthened by moving the focus of the femtosecond pulse laser in the depth direction of the workpiece.
