Abstract:
PURPOSE: A frame structure for unicasting and multicasting transmission and frame efficiency of a satellite time division multiple access and a method for controlling the same are provided to increase frame transport efficiency of traffic bursts and reduce unnecessary data processing load of a ground network connecting part of traffic earth stations. CONSTITUTION: Each traffic earth station reads frame data and extracts receiving earth station address signals from the read frame data, so that each traffic earth station inspects the highest level bit to judge unicasting. In the case of the unicasting, the traffic earth stations read the rest of bits to judge whether the bits are addresses of local earth stations. If not, the traffic earth stations read the rest of bits to judge whether the bits are broadcasting. In the case of the broadcasting, the earth stations receive the corresponding data. If not, the earth stations decides to receive data according to groups of the data.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for detecting and compensating amplitude and phase imbalances between an I channel and a Q channel in an orthogonal demodulation unit and an orthogonal demodulation unit using the same are provided to prevent deterioration due to the imbalances between the I channel and the Q channel by providing functions for detecting and compensating the imbalances between the I channel and the Q channel. CONSTITUTION: The amount of amplitude and phase imbalances between an I channel and a Q channel according to an input signal is detected by comparing the input signal with a signal determined by a quadrant including the input signal. The input signal is compensated by using the amount of amplitude and phase imbalances between the I channel and the Q channel according to the input signal.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus for eliminating a leakage signal by using an excellent RF(Radio Frequency) mixer is provided to prevent a spurious wave of a transmitter and a performance degradation of a receiver by eliminating the leakage signal of a local oscillation signal generated in a satellite and a frequency converter of a communication system. CONSTITUTION: An in-phase divider(160) divides a local oscillation signal inputted from the outside into in-phase local oscillation signals. An IF(Intermediate Frequency) phase divider(180) divides an IF signal inputted from the outside into IF signals with 90° phase difference. The first and second excellent RF mixers(170) mix the local oscillation signal divided from the in-phase divider(160) with the IF signal divided from the IF phase divider(180), and output RF(Radio Frequency) signals with 90° phase difference, respectively. An RF signal phase combiner(190) performs the 90° phase combination of the RF signals mixed in the first and second excellent RF mixers(170), and eliminates an image signal. A BPF(Band Pass Filter)(200) eliminates a residual component of a leakage signal from the RF signal of the RF signal phase combiner(190).

PURPOSE: An apparatus for canceling the leakage signal of a local oscillator signal is provided to remove a leakage signal from a local oscillator signal by detecting a reverse phase signal size difference and a phase difference, generated due to the signal path difference between a leakage signal and a reverse phase signal, and controlling the reverse phase signal with the detected differences. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for canceling the leakage signal of a local oscillator signal is composed of an RF amplifier(20), a frequency converter(30), a band pass filter(50), a generator/adjuster(60), a detector(70), and a combiner(80). The RF amplifier(20) executes low noise amplification for an RF signal received through an antenna. The frequency converter(30) converts the RF signal inputted from the RF amplifier(20) into an IF signal by a local oscillator signal inputted from a local oscillator(40) and outputs the IF signal containing a leakage signal. The band pass filter(50) filters only a specific band among the output signals of the frequency converter(30). The generator/adjuster(60) generates the reverse phase signal of the local oscillator signal, adjusts the gain and phase of the reverse phase signal, and outputs the gain/phase-adjusted reverse phase signal. The detector(70) detects the gain difference and phase difference of the leakage signal inputted from the band pass filter(50) and the reverse phase signal inputted from the generator/adjuster(60), calculates a gain control value and a phase control value through the detected differences, and the calculated control values to the generator/adjuster(60). The combiner(80) combines the output signal of the band pass filter(50) with the output signal of the generator/adjuster(60) and outputs a leakage signal-cancelled IF signal.

An apparatus for processing an intermediate frequency in a DGS-200 system(Demand Assignment Multiple Access/Single Channel Per Carrier Ground System) backplane is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a number of channel unit(401, 401') for inputting and outputting the intermediate frequency; a radio frequency generating unit for transmitting and receiving the signal and connected to a transmitter and receiver; a transmitting and a receiving intermediate filtering units(407 and 415) for filtering the frequency of the signal which is transmitted and received between the channel unit and the radio frequency generating unit; and a backplane PCB for connecting the channel unit to the intermediate frequency filter unit.
