Abstract: Disclosed is an actively following vehicle which includes: a plurality of driving units comprising a wheel and pitch adjustable active suspension; a map storage unit in which a three-dimensional precision map is stored; a communication unit which receives the location information on a preceding vehicle; a path calculation unit which calculates a shortest path to the preceding vehicle using the location information on the preceding vehicle, location information on a user′s vehicle, and a three-dimensional precision map; and a control unit which allows the user′s vehicle to follows the preceding vehicle along the calculated shortest path by controlling the plurality of driving units and maintains the horizontality of the user′s vehicle in various terrain conditions by individually controlling the pitch of the active suspension prepared in each driving unit.
