    Abstract: PURPOSE: Active safety apparatus of vehicle is provided to actively control operation of safety unit in impact accident of the vehicle by impact situation of the vehicle and followed movement of passenger, thereby protect the passenger with a method optimized in the accident situation. CONSTITUTION: Impact sensing unit(1) senses impact acceleration of vehicle. By predicted movement of the vehicle, active controller(3) predicts movement of passenger. The airbag control unit controls the deployment of the airbag. The speed recognition control unit is connected to the airbag control unit and recognizes a specific voice signal. The deployment of the airbag is controlled according to the specific voice signal recognized by the speed recognition control unit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A side-airbag interlocking armrest is provided to reduce manufacturing costs by using one inflator and to prevent interference of the arm rest and air bag cushion. CONSTITUTION: A side-airbag interlocking armrest comprises a housing(120), an air bag cushion, an inflator(130), an arm rest, and a link assembly(500). The housing has outlets(122,124) upon the upper and lower part. Upper and lower chambers of the air bag cushion are connected to the outlet of the housing. The inflator slides in the inside of the housing. The inflator emits gas through the outlet to the top or the lower chamber. The arm rest is installed on the side end of a seat back through a hinge to be rotatable.
