    Abstract: Compsns. (I) contain, on wt. of compsn. from (A) + (B) + (C), (A) 30-70 wt.% at least one polymer contg. styrene, opt. substd., (B) 30-70 wt.% polyethylene, and (C) 1-20 wt.% stellate block copolymer of 55-90 wt.% styrene and 45-10 wt.% butadiene, produced by anionic polymerisation with coupling, having average star branching no. 3-12. (I) consists of (A), (B), and (C). (A) is impact-resistance polystyrene (II). (B) is high density polyethylene. (C) has average mol. wt. (GPC) 100,000-300,000. (I) also contain 0.05-50 pts. wt. conventional additives. (C) has polymodal compsn. and individual star branch styrene-butadiene block copolymers have either sharp or blurred transitions between the blocks of styrene and butadiene.

    Abstract: The compsns. (I) contain, on wt. A + B, A) 98-80 wt% at least one polymer (II) contg styrene or substd styrene; and B) 2-20 wt% at least one linear, hydrogenated block copolymer (II) of wt average mol wt 50,000-200,000 contg styrene and butadiene. Total styrene content of (III) is 40-60 wt%, 5-25 wt% (III) being as block polystyrene and remainder of styrene being statistically distributed in the 60-40 wt% hydrogenated butadiene. (I) consists of A) and B). (I) contain 96-86 wt% (II) and 4-14 wt% (III). (II) is impact-resistant polystyrene contg 3-20 wt%, on wt A), polybutadiene grafted with styrene. Total styrene content of (III) is 50-55 wt% and wt ave mol wt of (II) is 75,000-150,000. (I) contain C) 0.05-25 pts wt conventional additives per 100 pts A + B + C.

    Abstract: The invention relates to polyolefin moulding compositions which crystallise easily, comprising (1) a crystallisable polyolefin, (2) a nucleating agent and (3), if desired, other conventional assistants and additives, characterised in that the compositions contain, as nucleating agents (2), cyclic oligomers of epsilon -caprolactam. Compositions are obtained which give mouldings having improved properties.
