Abstract: Heat-hardenable coating compsns., present as aq. dispersions, consist, by wt., of (A) 50-80% water and (B) 20-50% polyesterimide present as particles having dia. =5 mu. (B) contains 0.2-10 wt.% of at least one esterification catalyst. Dispersion has pH 5-9. Used for wire lacquering, insulating metal conductors, esp. wires and rails. Dispersions have good processing ability and storage stability. Gloss and smoothness of stoved lacquers cannot be distinguished from lacquer of same binder applied from soln.
