Abstract: Moulding composition containing a polyarylene ether A, obtained by grafting a) from 90 to 99.9% by weight of polyarylene ether B1 with repeating structural elements (I), where X and Z, independently of one another are each -SO2-, -O-, -S-, >C=O, a C-C single bond or -CRR1, R and R1 are each hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl or alkoxy, with the proviso that X and Z are not both -O-, and having halogen, methoxy, phenoxy, benzyloxy or amino end groups or b) from 90 to 99.9% by weight of polyarylene ether B2 with repeating structural elements (I) which are substituted in the nucleus by C1 to C6 alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl, chlorine or fluorine and having halogen, methoxy, phenoxy, benzyloxy or amino end groups with c) 0.1 to 10% by weight of maleic anhydride, itaconic acid anhydride or tetrahydrophthalic acid anhydride in the presence of from 0 to 1% by weight of a radical initiator.

Abstract: Moulding compositions based on polyarylene ethers A containing anhydride terminal groups and recurring units I in which t and q are each an integer 0, 1, 2 or 3, T, Q and Z are each a chemical bond or a group selected from -O-, -S-, -SO2-, S=O, C=O, -N=N-, -R C=CR - and -CR R -, with the proviso that at least one of the groups T, Q and Z is -SO2- or C = O, R and R are each a hydrogen atom or a C1- to C10-alkyl group, R and R are each a hydrogen atom, a C1- to C10-alkyl group, a C1- to C10-alkoxy group or a C6- to C18-aryl group, where the above groups may each be substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine atoms, Ar and Ar are C6- to C18-aryl groups, it being possible for these to have substituents selected from C1- to C10-alkyl, C6- to C18-aryl, C1- to C10-alkoxy and halogen, or their random copolymers or block copolymers.

Abstract: The invention relates to moulding materials containing: A) at least one polycarbonate; B) at least one graft polymer with a base consisting of an elastomer with a glass transition temperature below 10 DEG C; C) at least one copolymerisate containing vinylaromatic monomers; D) at least one filler, and also, optionally, E) at least one flameproofing agent and F) at least one additive. The moulding materials are characterised in that they contain G) at least one low molecular halogen-free acid and also, optionally, H) at least one polyalkylacrylate. The invention also relates to moulded parts, films or fibres, and especially external vehicle body parts produced from the moulding materials.

Abstract: Thermoplastic molding materials based on (A) polyester and (B) polycarbonate contain (C) a particulate emulsion polymer with a glass transition point below 0 deg C containing groups which react with carboxyl groups, (D) a similar polymer with no such reactive groups and (E) an ethylene copolymer with carboxyl groups. Thermoplastic molding materials containing (A) 2 - 98.4 wt.% polyester(s), (B) 0.5 - 96.9 wt.% polycarbonate(s), (C) 0.5 - 10 wt.% particulate emulsion polymer(s) with a glass transition point (Tg) below 0 deg C and containing functional groups which react with carboxyl groups, (D) 0.5 - 10 wt.% particulate emulsion polymer(s) with a Tg below 0 deg C containing no functional groups as in (C), (E) 0.1 - 10 wt.% ethylene copolymer(s) with carboxyl groups, (F) 0 - 60 wt.% fibrous or particulate filler(s) and (G) 0 - 20 wt.% other additives. Independent claims are also included for (a) a process for the production of molding materials by mixing (A) - (E) and optionally (F) and (G); (b) fibres, film and molded products obtained from the materials; (c) a process for the production of these end products by extrusion, extrusion blow molding or injection molding.

Also claimed are: (i) reinforced moulding materials containing 1-98 wt% (A), 1-50 wt% fibrous or particulate filler or reinforcing agent (B), 1-98 wt% (C) and 0-30 wt% other additive(s) (D), (ii) moulding materials with improved wettability containing 1-99 wt% (A), 1-99 wt% (C) and 0-50 wt% (D), (iii) solutions of moulding materials containing 1-80 wt% components (A), (C) and optionally (D) in an organic solvent, and (iv) fibres, film and mouldings made from these materials.
