    Abstract: Moulding materials (1) are claimed, contg. (A) 1-20 wt.% polyarylene ether with at least 0.03 wt.% OH end gps. (w.r.t. the mol. wt. Mn of A) and contg. repeating units of formula (I) or corresp. units ring-substd. with 1-6C alkyl or alkoxy, aryl, F or Cl: X = -SO2, -SO-, -O-, -CO-, -N=N-, -CR=CRa-, -CRbRc- or a direct bond; Z = -SO2, -SO-, -CO-, -N=N- or -CR=CRa-; R, Ra = H or 1-6C alkyl; Rb, R = H or opt. F- or Cl-substd. 1-6C alkyl or alkoxy, 4-10C cycloalkyl, (1-6C alkyl)-(4-10C cycloalkyl) or aryl; (B) 5-95 wt.% polyarylene ether with less than 0.03 wt.% terminal OH gps., (C) 4-94 wt.% polyarylene sulphide, (D) 0-60 wt.% fibrous or particulate fillers; (E) 0-45 wt.% impact-modifying rubber and (F) 0-40 wt.% additives or processing aids. Also claimed are mouldings, fibres and films produced from materials (1).
