    Abstract: 1. Agrochemical agents based on biomasses which have been subjected to a condensation reaction with carbonyl compounds, thiocarbonyl compounds and/or carbonyl compounds which are in dissociation equilibrium with low-molecular, non-condensed N-alkylol compounds, in an aqueous medium, if appropriate in the presence of a catalyst and optionally in the presence of additives, characterised in that they contain at least one modified biomass, which are obtained - by subjecting biomasses of the most diverse nature to a condensation reaction with carbonyl compounds, thiocarbonyl compounds and/or carbonyl compounds which are in dissociation equilibrium with low-molecular, non-condensed N-alkylol compounds, in an aqueous medium, if appropriate in the presence of a catalyst and optionally in the presence of additives, - by then subjecting the unreacted carbonyl compounds, thiocarbonyl compounds and/or carbonyl compounds which are in equilibrium with low-molecular, non-condensed N-alkylol compounds, to a condensation reaction with aminoplast-forming agents which optionally contain N-alkylol groups, or with phenoplast-forming agents, in an aqueous medium, if appropriate in the presence of a catalyst and if appropriate in the presence of chain stoppers and optionally in the presence of additives and - if appropriate by then freeing the modified biomasses thus formed from undesired substances still contained therein and/or by subjecting them to an after-treatment.
