Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding roller improved in compression permanent deflection and the paper feeding force and having excellent durability without generating a clogging by the paper chips and the toner and without giving a damage to the paper and an image on the paper, and to provide an image forming device provided with the same. SOLUTION: This paper feeding roller is formed by arranging a rubber foaming body, desirably, an ethylene propylene rubber foaming body having Asker C hardness of 15-40 degree and compression permanent deflection of 15% or less, and the image forming device is formed by installing this paper feeding roller. As a raw material of the ethylene propylene rubber foaming body, ethylene propylene rubber having iodine of 35-45 and Mooney viscosity ML1+4 at 100 deg.C of 20-50 is desirably used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive rubber roller having fine cells, low in hardness, having no parting line and reduced in the irregularity of electric resistance and an image forming apparatus having a conductive rubber roller mounted therein. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the conductive rubber roller by charging a rubber composition containing a raw material rubber in a split mold and a conductive material to vulcanize and foam the same, the charging amount of the rubber composition is 95-105% of the cavity volume of the split mold and vulcanization pressure is 9.8×10-5-9.8×106 Pa and the finish accuracy of the mating surface of the split mold is 25 μm or less on the basis of ten-point average roughness. The conductive rubber roller manufactured by this method is mounted in an image forming apparatus.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a roller, having fine cell with low hardness and having few dispersion in hardness and a cell diameter with satisfactory efficiency by immediately filling a polyurethane forming material containing a polyol component, polyisocyanate component, and foaming agent into a mold, after heating to a boiling point or higher of the foaming agent and agitating it. SOLUTION: A material containing a polyol component, a polyisocyanate component, a foaming agent, and the like is used as a polyurethane forming material. There is a polyether polyal, and the like as the polyol component, and there is a tolylendiisocyanate as the polyisocyanate component. Physical forming agent, whose boiling point is 20 to 60 deg.C, is used as the foaming agent from points of easy to handle, ease of vaporization and foaming, and the like, and there is an n-pentane, isopentane, and the like as the foaming agent. After the forming material is filled in a mold, it is heated to a temperature higher by 5 to 40 deg.C than that of the boiling point of the foaming agent, and it is agitated. After that, the forming material is filled and immediately formed in the mold. It is thus possible to provide a roller having few dispersion in density, hardness, and a cell diameter.
