    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve such problems as melt sticking or deposition of a toner caused during long-term use, problems of contamination of a photosensitive body or problems of adhesion of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION: This electrifying member is used to charge a body to be charged by bringing this member into contact with the body to be charged and applying voltage between this member and the body to be charged. At least the surface layer of the electrifying member contains a polyurethane as a structural material obtd. by using polyolefin polyol, polyoxytetramethylene polyol or a mixture of these as a polyol and liquid diphenylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate as an isocyanate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve local discharge and a cycle life by using poly aniline containing BF4 in a specified ratio for an active material of a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Poly aniline is used for an active material of a positive electrode. In this case the poly aniline contains BF4 of 15 to 30 wt.%. By using the poly aniline as described above for an active material of a positive electrode, local discharge is repressed and a long lived secondary battery is obtained. When the content of BF4 is less than 15 wt.% or more than 30 wt.%, discharge capacity and capacity retention are lowered, so that the purpose is not attained. As for an active material of a negative electrode a combination of Li-Al containing Li of 25 to 65 atomic % is preferable.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating layer excellently following the elastic deformation of an elastic layer and having excellent durability against ozone and nitrogen oxides and to stably obtain an excellent image over a long term by using urethane resin as base bacterial resin forming the coating layer on the elastic layer and incorporating specified metallic oxide or hydroxide in the coating layer. SOLUTION: As for this intermediate transfer member 20; the coating layer 202 formed on the elastic layer 201 is constituted by incorporating the urethane resin and the oxide of metal selected from aluminum, zinc, magnesium and calcium or the hydroxide. In is desirable to use the urethane resin which is excellent in following ability to the deformation such as elongation of the elastic layer 201 and which is not cracked even when it is used for a long time, especially, in is desirable to use what is called one-liquid solvent dry solid type polyurethane in the raw materials of paint. By addition the oxide of the metal such as aluminum to the urethane resin, the durability of the urethane resin against the ozone and the nitrogen oxides is improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conform excellently to elastic deformation of a rubber, a foam body, and the like by forming a skin layer with a fluorocarbon resin containing a functional group capable of reacting with an isocyanate group and a resin containing a reaction product with a polyisocyanate compound. SOLUTION: A skin layer 1 formed on the member surface includes fluorocarbon resin capable of reacting with an isocyanate group and a reaction product with a polyisocyanate compound. A rate of use of each component is not limited particularly; however, a reaction product is usually preferable which is obtained by reacting a 100-10 pts.wt., in particular, 80-20 pts.wt. polyisocyanate compound in a 100 pts.wt. fluorocarbon resin. For such an isocyanate group, though there is no limitation, a functional group can be exemplified which has active hydrogen such as a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a carboxyl group and a sulfonic group, and a hydroxyl group is most suitable among these groups.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conductive member which can be used for a mechanism of, e.g. electrophotography capable of sufficiently withstanding the heat generated when a high voltage is applied for a long time by using a polyurethane containing a specified polyether polyol as the polyol component. SOLUTION: In a conductive member used for a mechanism of, e.g. electrophotography, the member is made of a polyurethane containing a polyether polyol being a random glycerol/ethylene oxide/propylene oxide adduct as the polyol component. It is necessary that the conductive member used for the above object should have a specified electrical resistance, should sufficiently withstand the heat generated when a high voltage is applied for a long time, should not suffer from the contamination of the photoreceptor with especially the decomposition product of the polymeric member, and should not cause a change in electrical resistance. The conductive member can satisfy all of these requirements because the polyol component of the polyurethane contains both ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form an electroplated layer having high reliability at a high deposition rate on an insulating material by doping a conductive high polymer compound with a specific dopant and a halogen at the time of electroplating a metal on the conductive high polymer compound substrate layer after the insulating material is coated with the polymer compound used as the primary material CONSTITUTION:At the time of forming a conductive metal plated layer on the inner surface of each of the through-holes of a printed circuit board made of the insulating material consisting of glass fibers and an epoxy resin, a coating layer of the conductive high polymer compound such as polyaniline, polypyrrole, etc., is formed on the surface of the insulating material of the inner surface of each of the through-holes. Then the coating film of the conductive high polymer compound is doped with a dopant contg. at least two anion groups per molecule such as polyvinylsulfonic acid or its salts, etc., and a halogen such as F , Cl , Br , I , particularly Cl , which is used in a form of Cl -containing compound such as HC1. Thereafter, a metal such as Ag is electroplated on the coating film of the surface-treated conductive high polymer compound used as the base. Thus, the metal electroplated layer having high reliability can be formed at a high deposition rate.
