Abstract:
In an ostomy coupling comprising a patient part with a neck and a bag part adapted to be coupled in tight-fitting relationship with the neck of the patient part, a locking ring for mutually retaining these two parts is elastically deformable and movably retained with respect to the patient part so that it is deformable between a first position and a second position, where the coupled parts are mutually loosely connected and mutually locked, respectively. The locking ring is provided with two locking mechanisms independent of each other, one of which is activated when changing the ostomy bag, and the other secures the locking ring to the patient part. Conical faces for axial engagement facilitate centering when assembling the parts.
Abstract:
An adhesive wafer for an ostomy faceplate or wound dressing comprising a back ing layer (1), said backing layer having one surface facing the skin, said surface comprising a first and a second adhesive zone (2, 3) being separated from each others by a void volume (4), said void volume being defined by the backing layer (5), the first and the second adhesive zones and the skin surface and wherein the first and the second adhesive zones are capable of moving independently of each others with respect to the lateral plane of the backing layer.
Abstract:
The collecting bag comprises a bag member (301) formed by two film blanks with joined edges, an inlet opening being provided in one of said film blanks surrounded by connecting elements for connection of the bag to a body orifice. The bag is emptied through a narrowed, elongated discharge portion (308) ending in a discharge opening (309). A closure device provided at the discharge portion for bringing the bag from an open to a closed position comprises a first closure means (310, 311) at the proximal or distal end of the discharge portion and a second closure means (318, 319). The closure device is arranged for opening and closing of the bag in two distinct stages by successive operation of said first and second closure means.
Abstract:
A filter arrangement for a bag (1), in particular an ostomy bag with a vent (5), comprising a filter holder (7) fastened to the wall of the bag at the vent and having a through hole forming a passage from the interior of the bag to the surroundings, and a replaceable filter insert (8) designed for positioning in said hole. For position fixing of the filter insert in a use position, the filter holder has both means (13) for engagement with corresponding means (14) on the filter insert where the engagement means are designed such that upon positioning in the use position, the filter insert is prevented from being withdrawn from the filter holder, and within said engagement means has an elastically resilient clamping member (15) which in use position forms a sealing around the filter insert, but allows that this is pushed from the outside through the hole of the filter holder into the bag. The engagement means may be formed as an inwardly facing shoulder portion (13) in the filter holder (7) and a corresponding outwardly facing shoulder portion (14) on the filter insert (8). The filter insert has within said shoulder portion an internal conical end part with inwardly convergent cross section, and the elastically resilient clamping member (15) of the holder forms a sealing lip around said end part of the insert.
Abstract:
A collecting bag system for human body wastes comprising a collecting bag with a bag element formed by two predeminantly oblong plastic film blanks with joined edges (1, 2) and with an inlet opening (3) surrounded by connecting elements (4) for connection to a body orifice, particularly a stoma, and a closeable outlet opening (5) in an end section of one plastic film blank (2). The outlet opening (5) is surrounded by a coupling ring (6) with an outwardly facing engagement flange (7), and the system further comprises a bag extension (21, 23) with a coupling ring (9) with a corresponding inward-facing engagement element (10) for dismountable, sealing coupling to the coupling ring (6) of the outlet opening (5). On the inside of the coupling ring (6) of the outlet opening (5) a closing membrane is placed with an annular coupling element (16) for a sealing, but releasable coupling with an inward-facing engagement element (18) on the coupling ring (6) of the outlet coupling (5).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ostomy coupling comprising two annular coupling parts (1, 2) and a locking ring (3), where the two coupling parts (1, 2) are attached to an adhesive disc or a collection receptacle or a closing plug, respectively, the first coupling part (1) comprising a collar (5) having a radially outwardly projecting annular edge (6) for forming a groove (7) with an in radial direction innermost groove section (7a), and an annular recess (11) positioned in its in radial direction inner side, and the second coupling part (2) comprising an axially projecting part (17) having an annular radially outwardly projecting beak (18) being capable of engaging with the annular recess (11) in the first coupling part (1), and where the locking ring (3) has an annular in radial direction inwardly projecting protrusion (26), and that the locking ring is positioned in the groove of the first coupling part, so that its innermost diameter when it is in its locked position, is smaller than the largest beak diameter of the second coupling ring, and that the annular recess (11) in the in radial direction inner side of the first coupling part in axial direction is closer to the attachment surface (4a) of this coupling part to the collection receptacle, the closing plug or the adhesive disc than the annular innermost groove section (7a).
Abstract:
The ostomy collecting system comprises a collecting bag (1) having an inlet opening (4) formed in a bag wall and with surrounding connecting elements (5) for connection with a stoma in a user, and a carrier device (2) for the collecting bag. The carrier device comprises a base plate (6) for fastening on the user and a substantially annular first flange (7) connected to the base plate via a first connecting section (8). The connecting elements comprise a substantially annular second flange (9), which is fixedly connected to the collecting bag via a substantially annular second connecting section (10) and is designed for removable and adhesive connection with said first flange. The first and the second flanges (7, 9) are connected with the base plate (6) and the collecting bag (1), respectively, in such a manner that the outer radius of said second connecting section (10) exceeds the outer radius of said first connecting section (8) by a value which at least equals the total thickness of the first and the second flanges (7, 9). The adhesive connection between the collecting bag and the carrier device is provided by a layer (11) of adhesive applied on said second flange (9) and capable of repeated adhesion with the first flange, and the first and the second flanges are made from a flexible and resilient material. Both the first and the second flanges (7, 9) are formed as discs of cellular plastic material.
