Abstract: Two component biocidal preparations and methods of use, suitable for controlling slime, microbial organisms such as bacteria, and fungi in industrial waters is disclosed. The preparation includes a biocide and a polysaccharide degrading enzyme effective against those polysaccharides typically found in industrial waters. Examples of the biocide are thiocyanates, carbamates, thiocarbamates, quaternary ammonium compounds, chlorophenates and organomercurial compounds, and examples of the enzyme are levan hydrolases, dextran degrading enzymes and amylases.

Abstract: The present invention relates to shelf stable and/or less corrosive peroxycarboxylic acid antimicrobial compositions, including ready-to-use compositions. Shelf stable compositions can include defined ratios of hydrogen peroxide to peroxycarboxylic acid and/or hydrogen peroxide to protonated carboxylic acid, but need not include strong acid. Reduced corrosion compositions can include carboxylic acid and corrosion inhibitor at acid pH. Compositions of the invention can have advantageous activity against spores.

Abstract: There is provided an aqueous low-foam hard surface finish cleaner composition, that is useful in removing soil residue from a hard surface, the cleaner comprising: (a) an aromatic alkyl diphenyl oxide disulfonate, (b) a sulfonate ester of the formula: (see above formula) wherein R3 or R4 are each independently a C1-20 aliphatic group, and R2 is H+, an alkali metal cation, NH4+, or a mono-, di- or trialkanol amine cation; (c) a nonionic defoaming surfactant; and (d) an aqueous diluent. A process comprising cleaning the surface with a first cleaning composition and removing the resulting cleaner residue with a finish cleaner composition is also provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus far diluting liquid concentrate materials to liquid use solutions. An aspirator system (16) is adapted to receive a container (11a) of liquid concentrate in a reservoir (10). The reservoir contains means (13) to open the liquid concentrate. Additionally the reservoir contains means to support the liquid concentrate during addition of concentrate to the reservoir. When empty, the liquid concentrate bottle can be placed in a reservoir for the empty container (11b). The receiver has filling means for the container that can deliver dilute use solution to the container. The liquid concentrate container and the dilute use solution container are substantially identical. The apparatus is controlled using a flow controller (14) that activates liquid diluent causing the liquid diluent to pass through the aspirator drawing concentrate at a fixed dilution ratio. The aspirator can be used in a station with multiple apparatus, each adapted to a particular liquid concentrate and dilute use solution. The typical container for such a station comprises a plastic bottle (11) having a fitment adapted to the receiver opening means. The preferred container for the liquid concentrate contains a fitment comprising a closure for the bottle opening having impressed into the closure a circular indent operatively connected with a thick hinge member. When inserted into the reservoir, the opening means causes the fitment to fail at the circular indent resulting in a clean separation of the circular portion from the closure permitting the contents of the concentrate container to drain into the reservoir.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus (200) dilutes a liquid concentrate to form a dilute u se solution for dispensing into a bottle having first and second lockout sections.
