Abstract: An apparatus and method for DFT processing using prime factor algorithm (PFA) on a selected number P of midamble chip values received by a CDMA receiver, where P has a plurality M of relatively prime factors F, and the DFT process is divided into M successive F-point DFT processes. The P data values are retrieved from a single input port memory and selectively permuted by a controller into parallel caches to optimize factoring with associated twiddle factors stored in parallel registers. The permuted inputs are factored in two or more parallel PFA circuits that comprise adders and multipliers arranged to accommodate any size F-point DFT. The outputs of the PFA circuits are processed by consolidation circuitry in preparation for output permutation of the values which are sent to memory for subsequent DFT cycles.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for deinterleaving expanded interleaved data blocks, particularly for use in a wireless telecommunications system such as provided by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3G) standard. The data is processed on a sequential element basis where each element has a pre-determined number of bits M which bits are contained in a block of sequential data words W'. The elements are extracted from the block of words W' in sequential order, each element being extracted from either a single or two sequential interleaved words within the set of words W'. The elements are stored in selective location within a set of words W of a deinterleaver memory such that upon completion of the extraction and writing of all the elements, the words W from the deinterleaver memory can be sequentially read out to correspond to an original data block of bits from which the block of interleaved elements was created. Additional conventional processing results in the contraction of the deinterleaved expanded words to reproduce the data block of bits in a receiver as originally designated for transmission in a transmitter.

Abstract: Un sistema de redes para soportar comunicación móvil por Internet que comprende: una pluralidad de encaminadores, cada uno de los cuales tiene una dirección de comunicación única; una pluralidad de nodos móviles (en adelante MN) que se pueden mover a diversas ubicaciones para comunicar con la Internet por medio de encaminadores diferentes en ubicaciones diferentes; cada MN asociado con un encaminador doméstico y que tiene un único nombre de sistema central; cada encaminador teniendo una lista asociada de ubicaciones de nodos móviles que identifica por su único nombre de sistema central cada MN para el que el encaminador es el encaminador doméstico y la dirección de comunicación de un encaminador que corresponde a una ubicación actual de cada uno de dichos MN; y cada MN se puede mover desde una ubicación antigua, donde el MN comunica con la Internet a través de un encaminador, hasta una ubicación actual donde el MN comunica con la Internet a través de un encaminador diferente mediante la comunicación al encaminador doméstico del MN de la dirección de comunicación del encaminador diferente como la dirección de comunicación correspondiente a la ubicación actual del MN, por lo cual una comunicación de datos procedente de un nodo correspondiente (en adelante CN) a un MN seleccionado se comunica al MN seleccionado accediendo a la lista de ubicaciones de nodos móviles del encaminador doméstico del MN seleccionado para determinar la dirección de comunicación correspondiente a la ubicación actual del MN seleccionado y dirigiendo la comunicación de datos a esa dirección de comunicación determinada.

Abstract: The present invention provides a communication terminal configured as a Mobile Node, MN, for use in network system that supports mobile Internet communication and has a plurality of Routers each having a unique communication address via which MNs communicate with the Internet via different Routers at different locations where each Router has an associated Mobile Node Location List identifying each MN for which the Router is the home Router and the communication address of a Router corresponding to a current location of each such MN, the communication terminal characterized by: means for storing a unique host name and a home network identifier, HNI, that reflects an association with a home Router; and means for communicating to the terminal's home Router, when said terminal is moved from an old location where the terminal communicates with the Internet via one Router to a current location where the terminal communicates with the Internet via a different Router, the communication address of the different Router as the communication address corresponding to the terminal's current location whereby a data communication from a corresponding node, CN, to the terminal is communicated to the terminal using the terminal's HNI and unique host name by accessing the Mobile Node Location List of the terminal's home Router to determine the communication address corresponding to the terminal's current location and directing the data communication to that determined communication address.
