Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an ornamental material which is imparted with the massive feel different form the massive feel of the conventional products on the surface while the properties such as surface gloss and material feel intrinsic to a base material are effectively utilized in appearance by forming >=2 kinds of thin carbon film layers having different film thicknesses on the base material and forming designs by the difference in the film thickness. CONSTITUTION:A compact case 1 as, for example, a cosmetic case, is constituted of a body 1 and a top cap 3. The cap 3 is constituted by forming the thin carbon film layers having a high amorphous property, adhesive strength and film strength on the surface of the base material 4. Said layers 5 are formed at the varied film thicknesses on the material 4. A difference in the color tones, massive feel, etc., is generated by the difference in said film thicknesses. The design of a character A shape, the design of a character B shape and the design of the overlapped part thereof are thereby formed. More specifically, the part (a) where the film thickness is large forms the design of the overlapped part, the part (b) where the film thickness is middle forms the design of the characteristic A shape and the part (c) where the film thickness is small forms the design of the characteristic B, respectively. The film thickness of at least one thin carbon film layer of >=2 kinds of the thin carbon film layers having the different film thicknesses is 100-2,000Angstrom .

SOLUTION: The method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam having a density of 8-35 kg/m
3 includes reacting a polyol component having a hydroxyl value of 200-500 mg-KOH/g with a polyisocyanate component using a catalyst for producing polyurethane, containing (1) a specific amine compound having a hydroxyl group and/or a specific amine compound having an amino group, (2) a specific amine compound having a hydroxyl group, and (3) a specific imidazole compound in the presence of 4 pts.wt. of water with respect to 100 pts.wt. of polyol component. The heat insulating material is constituted of the rigid polyurethane foam provided by the production method.

SOLUTION: The method for producing polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyol mixture comprising (A) 20 to 50% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene polyol with a hydroxy value between 25 and 120 mg KOH/g, (B) 8 to 30% by weight of water, (C) 0.5 to 10% by weight of an amine catalyst, and (D) 1 to 15% by weight of a 10-24C straight chain or branched-chain fatty acid with an isocyanate component. The tribochemical stability of the lubricant is improved, the adsorption of water on the resulting lubricant layer can be inhibited and superior durability can be ensured by a thinner lubricant layer.
