The terminal (130) has a data transmission unit for transmitting information concerning a point in time to decode a portion of contents received using a broadcasting network (120) i.e. terrestrial multi-media digital broadcasting network, with a communication network (140). A receiving unit receives a remaining portion of the contents received from the communication network after the point in time to decode the portion of the contents that run-out. A transfer control unit controls transferring of the contents from the broadcasting network to the communication network. The information includes a value depending to a group including a system clock value of the contents, a packet counter value of the contents and a reference value of coordinated universal time.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung für eine optische Netzwerkeinheit (ONU-Vorrichtung) in einem Kabelnetzwerk zur Verfügung gestellt. Die ONU-Vorrichtung enthält ein Kabelmodem, das zum Empfangen von Synchronisationsinformation von einer Kopfstelle durch eine optische Leitung konfiguriert ist, und eine Edge-Quadraturamplitudenmodulation (EQAM), die zum Durchführen einer Synchronisation mit einem in der Kopfstelle enthaltenen Kabelmodemabschlusssystem (CMTS) auf der Basis der Synchronisationsinformation und zum Modulieren eines empfangenen Signals zu einem Funkfrequenz-(RF-)Signal für eine Teilnehmervorrichtung konfiguriert ist. Strukturen mit tief in das Netzwerk gehenden Glasfasern und Mikrozellen können auf einfache Weise angewendet werden, indem zugelassen wird, dass die EQAM nicht einer Kopfstelle sondern in der ONU lokalisiert ist.

Es werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bildung eines Rahmens für DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) Datenübertragung bereitgestellt. Die Vorrichtung enthält einen Medienzugriffssteuerungs(MAC)-Rahmenklassierungsblock, der einen empfangenen MAC-Rahmen in einen MAC-Managementdatenrahmen und einen Benutzerdatenrahmen klassiert, einen Eingangsverarbeitungsblock, der den MAC-Managementdatenrahmen und den Benutzerdatenrahmen vorverarbeitet und eine Kopfstellen-Referenzzeit empfängt, und einen Daten-Slice-Bildungsblock, der auf Basis des MAC-Managementdatenrahmens und des Benutzerdatenrahmens, die den Eingangsverarbeitungsblock durchlaufen, ein Daten-Slice erzeugt.

An apparatus for transmitting data in a digital broadcasting system is disclosed. The apparatus includes: a source encoding unit for encoding data to be transmitted and generating source-coded data; a capacity managing unit for dividing the source-coded data into divided data for a plurality of channels in case that an available data capacity for transmitting the source-coded data does not exist in one channel but sum of available data capacities of the multiple channels can accommodate the source-coded data, and adding header information to the divided data; a channel encoding unit for encoding the divided data according to channel environment and generating channel-coded data; and a transmitting unit for multiplexing, modulating and transmitting the channel-coded data through multiple frequency bands and multiple broadcasting sites.

The method involves receiving a package of a flow of coded video stream coming from a video coder through an interface screen. A transport interface is reconfigured, and a signal is transmitted through a broadcasting network. The flow package is stored in a database (412), where the flow package has a reference value for a program clock. A frame of a transport interface is provided in a queue. A research is performed in the queue corresponding to a request from a user who carries out an access through a communication network. The package is transmitted through the communication network. An independent claim is also included for a device for providing a video service.

A multiplexing unit (160) generates a broadcasting stream by multiplexing a broadcast transport stream of the base layer with a dummy package. A transmission processing unit (170) transmits the broadcast stream through a transmission channel. Abstract:
The present invention relates to an on-channel repeating apparatus and method. An embodiment of the present invention provides an on-channel repeating method including: subtracting a replica of a feedback signal from a signal received from a main transmitter or another repeating apparatus; demodulating and equalizing the signal to remove noise, a multipath signal, and the remaining feedback signal from the signal; inserting identification signal having good correlation properties into the signal; modulating the signal; and transmitting the modulated signal. Another embodiment of the present invention provides an on-channel repeating apparatus including: a unit that converts signals received from a main transmitter or another repeating apparatus into signals in a predetermined band; a unit that generates identification signals having good correlation properties; a unit that generates a replica from the signals in the predetermined band and the identification signal, and then removes a feedback signal; a unit that demodulates a signal from which the feedback signal is removed; a unit that equalizes the demodulated signal to remove noise, a multipath signal, and the remaining feedback signal therefrom; a unit that inserts the identification signal into the equalized signal; and a unit that modulates the signal having the identification signal inserted thereinto and transmits the modulated signal. According to the present invention, the repeating apparatus repeats output signals that have a small time delay and whose distortion is corrected. Therefore, it is possible to improve the utilization of limited frequency sources, and reduce investment in achieving a repeating apparatus.

PURPOSE: A downloadable conditional access system server, a digital multimedia broadcasting terminal, and a method for providing downloadable conditional access system service are provided to offer a DCAS solution using a DMB net and a mobile radio communication network. CONSTITUTION: A message transfer part(311) transmits a DCAS message including the DCAS information through a first data channel to a DMB terminal. An image transmitting portion(312) transmits the common conditional access client image through a second data channel to the DMB terminal. The DMB terminal requests the personalization information related through a mobile communication channel to the operation of the common conditional access client image. An information transfer part(313) processes the authentication about the DMB terminal. The information transfer part transmits the personalization information through the mobile communication channel to the DMB terminal.
