A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving multi-channel audio signals is provided. The apparatus for transmitting multi-channel audio signals includes: a multi-channel audio down-mixer configured to receive a multi-channel audio signal and transform the multi-channel audio signal into a down-mixed audio signal and a supplementary signal; a super frame generator configured to generate a super frame including a plurality of supplementary signal frames; and a packetizer configured to packetize the super frame, wherein the super frame includes supplementary signal frame number information and supplementary signal frame length information of the supplementary signal frames included in the super frame.

Provided are an apparatus and method for multiplexing and demultiplexing based on DMB. The multiplexing apparatus includes a packetizer, a section generator, and a multiplexer. The packetizer (340) packetizes element streams and object information of a base layer and an enhancement layer. The section generator (350, 360) generates 14496 sections including the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, a SCST section having element stream information of the enhancement layer, an IOD having descriptors for the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, and a PSI section having a descriptor connecting the SCST. The multiplexer (380,390) generates base layer and enhancement layer TSs by multiplexing the packetized element streams and the packetized object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, the 14496 sections including the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, the PSI section, and the SCST section.

Provided is an identification signal analyzing apparatus and method for compensating power of a channel profile occurring at a conventional identification signal analyzing apparatus by using a power compensation. The identification signal analyzing apparatus includes: an identification signal generator for generating an identification signal identical to a known identification signal inserted by a transmission device; a partial correlator for calculating a correlation value between a received signal including the known identification signal inserted by the transmission device and the identification signal generated by the identification signal generator through a partial correlation; a power compensator for compensating power of the correlation value calculated by the partial correlator; and a channel profile extractor for extracting a channel profile from the correlation value compensated by the power compensator.

Provided are a distributed repeater for repeating output signals identica l to input signals through a channel different from that of main transmitter signals but identical to channels of other distributed repeaters, and a dis tributed repeating method thereof. The distributed repeater includes: a pre- processing unit configured to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal transmit ted from an external device and demodulate the RF signal into a baseband sig nal; an equalizer configured to equalize the baseband signal to correct a di stortion occurring on a transmission channel; an identification signal gener ation and insertion unit configured to generate an identification signal for identification of the distributed repeater and network conditioning, and in sert the identification signal in the equalized baseband signal; and a post- processing unit configured to convert the baseband signal from the identific ation signal generation and insertion unit into an RF signal, and send the R F signal.

Provided is an apparatus and method for analyzing identification (ID) signals by converting radio frequency (RF) signals which are transmitted with an ID signal added thereto by a transmitting part, e.g., a plurality of transmitters or repeaters, into signals of a desired band; creating ID signals that are identical to the ID signals added to the RF signals; calculating correlation values between the converted signals and the created ID signals based on partial correlation; and extracting channel profile of multi-path signals caused by a channel between the transmitting part and the ID signal analyzing apparatus from the correlation value. The technology of the present research is applied to broadcasting and communication.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an on-channel repeating apparatus and method. An embodiment of the present invention provides an on-channel repeating method including: subtracting a replica of a feedback signal from a signal received from a main transmitter or another repeating apparatus; demodulating and equalizing the signal to remove noise, a multipath signal, and the remaining feedback signal from the signal; inserting identification signal having good correlation properties into the signal; modulating the signal; and transmitting the modulated signal. Another embodiment of the present invention provides an on-channel repeating apparatus including: a unit that converts signals received from a main transmitter or another repeating apparatus into signals in a predetermined band; a unit that generates identification signals having good correlation properties; a unit that generates a replica from the signals in the predetermined band and the identification signal, and then removes a feedback signal; a unit that demodulates a signal from which the feedback signal is removed; a unit that equalizes the demodulated signal to remove noise, a multipath signal, and the remaining feedback signal therefrom; a unit that inserts the identification signal into the equalized signal; and a unit that modulates the signal having the identification signal inserted thereinto and transmits the modulated signal. According to the present invention, the repeating apparatus repeats output signals that have a small time delay and whose distortion is corrected. Therefore, it is possible to improve the utilization of limited frequency sources, and reduce investment in achieving a repeating apparatus.

El repetidor distribuido incluye: Una unidad de pre-procesamiento configurada para recibir una señal de radiofrecuencia (RF) transmitida desde de un dispositivo externo y desmodular la señal de RF en una señal de banda base; un ecualizador configurado para ecualizar la señal de banda base para corregir una distorsión que ocurre en un canal de transmisión; una unidad de inserción y generación de señal de identificación configurada para generar una señal de identificación para identificación del repetidor distribuido y acondicionamiento de red e insertar la señal de identificación en la señal de banda base ecualizada; y una unidad de post-procesamiento configurado para convertir la señal de banda base de la unidad de inserción y generación de señal de identificación en una señal de RF y enviar la señal de RF.
