    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject improver having bettering effects on life prolongation ratio of nephritis parient and excellent in safety by oral intake, containing an acrylic water absorbing resin as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This improver for life prolongation ratio for nephritis patient contains an acrylic water-absorbing resin selected from a polymer comprising an acrylic monomer preferably of the formula CH2 =CR COOR (R is methyl; R is H or a metal atom) as an essential constitutent unit and a cross-linked material of the polymer as an active ingredient. A alkaline (earth) metal may be cited as a metal to form a metal salt. In the improver, the acrylic water- absorbing resin in a state of powder, bead, flake or gel may be orally administered in the form as it is or made in to tablet, granule or capsule by using a medicine carrier. The daily dose is about 5-20g calculated as the amount of the active ingredient.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a new siloxane derivative useful as a cosmetic, excellent in lubricity, water/oil repellencies and having a good touch and functions to prevent messy makeup by carrying out the hydrosilylating reaction of an Si-H group-containing siloxane with an unsaturated fluorine-containing macromer in the presence of a catalyst. SOLUTION: This new siloxane derivative is represented by formula I at least one of R to R is a substituent group represented by formula II [R is H, a 1-18C alkyl, phenyl, an alkenyl, etc.; R is a 2-18C hydrocarbon; (n) is 2-500]; R to R other than those described above and R are each a 1-18C alkyl; (a) and (b) are each a number so as to provide 1-3000 average value of [(a)+(b)]}. The siloxane derivative has a siloxane skeleton in the same molecule and a fluorine-containing polyether skeleton and is useful for a cosmetic, etc., having good lubricity and water/oil repellencies together and further a good touch and functions to prevent messy makeup. The compound is obtained by carrying out the hydrosilylating reaction of an Si-H group-containing siloxane represented by formula III (at least one of R to R is H and the others are each a 1-18C alkyl) with a fluorine-containing macromer represented by formula IV (R is a 0-16C hydrocarbon) in the presence of a catalyst.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain favorable fabrication properties and frosted appearance by a method wherein a container consists of a resin composition containing a polypropylene resin as a main material and a resin as a submaterial having a softening temperature higher than that of the main material in a specific compounding ratio, and the surface of the container is so structured as to have irregularities of the submaterial. CONSTITUTION:A container consists of a resin composition containing a polypropylene resin as a main material and at least one kind of resin as a submaterial having a softening temperature at least 20 deg.C higher than that of the main material in a main material/submaterial compounding ratio (weight ratio) of 98/2-60/40. The surface of the container is so structured as to have irregularities of the submaterial. A preform for the container is obtained by injecting the resin composition at a temperature higher than the melting temperatures of both the polymers at a speed of 350 mm/sec or lower, at which the dispersed resin as the submaterial cannot remarkably deform to a flat form. The preform is blown to be biaxially oriented at a temperature not higher than the softening temperature of the submaterial. As a result, the frosted appearance is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hollow container, the whole cylindrical part of which has fine and matte appearance, by a method wherein the container concerned is made out of composition, which is prepared by mixing main material made of thermoplastic polyester resin and sub- material having the softening temperature higher than the softening temperature of the main material with each other by the predetermined mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:Material, in which 70mol.% or more of repeating unit is made of ethylene terephthalate and the intrinsic viscosity of which is 0.65-1.5, is preferably employed as main material. At least one of materials, the softening temperatures of which are higher than the softening temperature of the main material by 20 deg.C or more, is employed as sub-material. The mixing ratio by weight of the main material/sub-material is set to be 98/2-60/40. By injection molding, preform is produced out of the composition consisting of the main material and the sub-material. At the time, the molding is performed at the linear speed of 350mm/sec under the temperature, at which both the main material and the sub-material are melted, so as not to remarkably flatten the dispersed sub-material. The obtained preform is biaxially stretching blow molded under the temperature, which is below the softening temperature of the sub-material. If the blow molding is performed at the temperature higher than the softening temperature of the sub-material, no unevenness due to the sub-material develops, resulting in obtaining no matte appearance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin having specific two kinds of recurring units and having excellent transparency and moldability comparable to PET and exhibiting barrier properties to oxygen and steam superior to PET. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin consisting of 0-95mol% unit expressed by formula I ((m) is 2-10) and 5-100mol% unit expressed by formula II. The resin is preferably obtained by copolymerizing a dicarboxylic component consisting of 0-95mol% terephthalic acid (derivative) and 5-100mol% (2-hydroxy-2- oxoethoxy)benzoic acid (derivative) with a dial component consisting of a 2-1-C straight-chain aliphatic acid glycol. As the glycol, e.g. ethylene glycol or trimethylene glycol is used. Furthermore, in the objective resin, the intrinsic viscosity measured at 25 deg.C in a mixed solution of phenol/tetrachloroethane (of 60/40wt. ratio) is preferably >=0.5g/d.
