    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of energy in a hermetic compressor. SOLUTION: This hermetic compressor comprises an oil channel 19 communicated with the upper part of a crankshaft 10 from the lower end thereof, the oil exhaust port 19a of the oil channel 19 which is opened in the upper part of the crankshaft 10, and an intake muffle 20 which is arranged beside a cylinder 7 and has a top surface 20a downwardly inclined in the direction of the crankshaft 10. When oil 13 which is exhausted from the oil exhaust port 19a splashes on the inclined part of the top surface of the intake muffler 20, the oil 13 splashes slantly upward to that an amount of oil 13 stuck to the surface of the intake muffler 20 can be reduced. The intake muffler 20 can be prevented from being heated, refrigerant gas can be prevented from being heated in the inside of the intake muffler 20, and the refrigerant gas can be supplied with a high density to the inside of the cylinder 7 so that efficiency can be improved. The oil 13 dispersed from the intake muffler 20 is cooled in a hermetic container 1, and high temperature oil 13 is supplied to a sliding part so that reliability can be improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability at high efficiency in a hermetic motor-driven compressor used for a domestic refrigerator by reducing the sliding loss of a baring part and promoting cooling thereof. SOLUTION: A compressive element 3 and an electric element 2 are stored in a hermetic case 1. This compressor comprises a crank 9 fixed on the rotor 5 of the electric element 2, a bearing 8 in which a low frictional sliding material-made sleeve 18 equipped with an expanding slot 17 is press-fitted and by which the crank 9 is pivoted, a bearing oil groove 19 whose upper and lower ends are communicated with the inner circumferential surface of the bearing 8, and lubricant oil 13 reserved in a bottom part in the sealed case 1. A coefficient of friction is lowered by the low frictional sliding member so that the sliding loss of the crank 9 is reduced, and also the lubricant oil 13 is led to flow into the bearing oil groove 19 so that the cooling of the bearing 8 is promoted, and the reliability of the compressor can be improved at high efficiency.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member such as a high reliable compressor and pump in which the friction of a sliding part is lowered even when oil supply is few or under an oil-free condition and wear and abrasion resistance is improved. SOLUTION: In this sliding member in which a diamond-like carbon(DLC) film is formed on a base material through a substrate layer, a solid lubrication film is formed in a manner that the substrate layer comprises a plurality of compound layers having different composition consisting of carbon, nitrogen and transition metal, layers are so laminated that hardness is sequentially lowered from the uppermost layer consisting of the DLC film to the base material, and the whole film thickness is set to 0.5-5.0 μm. Low coefficient of friction, self lubricity and wear and abrasion resistance that the DLC film has originally can be sufficiently exhibited, and the reliability and efficiency of the compressor and pump can be improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable rotary compressor which is excellent in abrasion resistance by forming one of a slidingly movable material in a compressing mechanism out of cast iron, an iron type sintered material or the like, and forming the other of an iron type material which is composed of chromium and nitrogen formed by a PVD method and has a compound layer having the specific chromium content on a surface. SOLUTION: A rotary compressor used in a refrigerating cycle or the like, houses a compressing mechanism composed of a cylinder, a roller, a crank, a vane or the like in a sealed casing. In this case, the cylinder being one of a slidingly movable member is made of cast iron, and the other vane is formed of an iron type metallic material having on a surface a compound layer 21 mainly composed of chromium and nitrogen formed by a PVD method. The compound layer 21 is manufactured so that the content of chromium becomes 50wt.% to 60wt.% and its surface hardness becomes 1000Hv or more. Preferably, the compound layer 21 is formed after a nitriding layer 24 containing nitrogen not less than 3wt.% up to a depth not less than 20μm from a surface is formed in an iron type material 22.
