Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a feed water control suitable for an automatic ice-making device which feeds water into two ice-trays so as to make ice. SOLUTION: In an automatic ice-making device which supplies water from a water-filled feed water tank 11 to two ice-trays (a first ice-tray 26a, a second ice-tray 26b) provided in an atmosphere below the freezing point through a pump 24 so as to make ice, when feeding water, at first the water is supplied to a specific ice-tray (the first ice-tray 26a), and even in the worst case where a water level of the feed water tank 11 is low and insufficient water is supplied, the amount may be caused to exceed that of the other ice-tray (the second ice-tray 26b) so that the completion of ice-making of the other ice-tray (the second ice-tray 26b) may be recognized upon completion of ice-making of the specific ice-tray (the first ice-tray 26a). SOLUTION: Assembling workability is improved by preventing inserting force from becoming too strong due to dimensional dispersion of a second glass pipe 14 by making the insertion force at the time of inserting the second glass pipe 14 into the stopper 12 weaker than the inserting force at the time of inserting a first glass pipe 13 into the stopper 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a water supply unit in which internal contamination of a water supply pump can be confirmed from the outside and the water supply pump can be removed easily from the tank. SOLUTION: The water supply unit comprises a water storage tank 12 having an opening applied with a cover, a water supply tank 16 having a screw wheel 20 for imparting kinetic energy to water in the tank 12, and a drive section 17 secured to the tank 12 and rotating the screw wheel 20. Since the shell of the water supply tank 16 is made transparent and held by a member of the tank 12 other than the cover so that the water supply tank 16 can be fixed removably to the tank 12 without removing the cover, internal contamination of the water supply pump 16 can be confirmed visually without dismantling the water supply pump 16 and the water supply pump 16 can be cleaned at an appropriate time. Furthermore, dismantling work is simplified and cleaning work is facilitated because the cover is not required to be removed from the tank 12 at the time of cleaning the water supply pump 16 but only the water supply pump 16 is required to be removed from the tank 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel friction and creaking sounds generated by an ice tray and ice, and at the same time, to prevent ice from cracking, when the ice is to be separated from the ice tray for discharging. SOLUTION: The automatic ice-making machine is composed of a driving gear that is rotated by a stepping motor 12, an output gear 122 that is composed in one piece with an output shaft 14 for driving an ice ray 1, and a transmission means that changes gear ratio, according to the angle of rotation of the driving gear for transmitting the rotary force of the driving gear to the output gear 122. In this case, when the output gear 122 is rotated by the transmission means with a relatively low speed and high torque, ice in the ice tray 1 is separated from the ice tray 1 by giving a twist, thus preventing generation of friction and creaking sounds, and cracking of the ice.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover and circulate a stagnating refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle device in a refrigerator which has a small amount of sealed refrigerant and is provided with a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber respectively cooled by exclusive evaporators. SOLUTION: In a refrigerating cycle device, a first outlet port 105 of a three- way valve 100 is connected to a capillary tube 6 side for a refrigerating chamber and a second outlet port 106 is connected to a capillary tube 8 side for a freezing chamber so that a refrigerant is allowed to flow to either the first outlet port 105 or the second outlet port 106. Before a passage is switched, both the outlet ports 105 and 106 are temporarily closed to operate a compressor 1. Thus, the refrigerant stagnating in the capillary tubes and evaporators can be recovered.

SOLUTION: When a motor 108 is turned in one direction only a first shaft 116 is turned or first and second shafts 116 121 are turned simultaneously in the same direction and when the motor 108 is turned in the other direction, only the first shaft 116 is turned or the first and second shafts 116, 121 are turned simultaneously in the opposite directions. According to the arrangement, two modes of close/close and open/open can be realized when the motor 108 is turned in one direction and other two modes of close/open and open/close can be realized when the motor 108 is turned in the other direction.
