Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the surface light emission of high luminance by forming the surface of a light transmission plate to be a fine wave surface. SOLUTION: The surface of the light transmission plate 1 of a surface light emitting device obtained by arranging a linear light source 2 on one side surface of the transparent light transmission plate 1, providing a light diffusing transmitting part 3 on the back of the plate 1, and arranging a light scattering reflecting plate 4 on the back surface is formed to be the fine wave surface 6. The surface 6 on the surface of the plate 1 focuses and emits light scattered and reflected on the surface side of the plate 1 by the part 3 and the plate 4 in a direction close to a perpendicular to the plate 1. That is, since the surface of the plate 1 is the wave surface 6, a light beam scattered and reflected on the surface side of the plate 1 by the part 3, etc., is refracted so that an angle formed with the perpendicular to the plate becomes smaller than that obtained before light emission when the light beam is emitted from the inside of the plate 1 to an air layer. As to the arraying direction of wave on the surface 6, a direction in parallel with the light source 2, and a direction perpendicular to the light source 2, etc., for example, and moire is prevented from occurring when a liquid crystal display device is arranged in a front surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the luminance uniform by disposing an insert material formed with a light diffusion transmission layer on a molding resin repulsion layer formed on a light reflecting plate in a mold or integrating a light guide plate with the repulsion layer and the reflecting plate by the transmission layer simultaneously upon molding of the guide plate after the mold is closed or disposing a line source on the side of the guide plate after the mold is opened. CONSTITUTION: A molding resin repulsion layer 2 is entirely formed on one surface of a light reflecting plate 1 having reflectivity, an insert material 4 formed in a gradation pattern with a light diffusion transmission layer 3 on the layer 2 is disposed in an injection mold 5, and a light is efficiently utilized. The layer 3 optically diffusion reflects the light guided in a light guide plate 6 from a light source, and directs the part toward the front surface side of the plate 6. Then, after the mold 5 is closed, molten resin is injected into the mold 5, the resin is solidified, the plate 6 is molded, and simultaneously the plate 6 is integrated with the layer 2 and the plate 1 via the transmission layer in close contact with the rear surface of the plate 6. Thereafter, after the mold 6 is opened, the line source 7 is disposed on the one side of the plate 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To more efficiently utilize light from a line light source to obtain high brightness, by forming a notched part on the back surface of a light leading plate, arranging the line light source in the notched part, and also forming a light quantity adjusting part in the upper side of the line light source. CONSTITUTION: A notched part 2 is formed on the back surface side end of a light leading plate 1, and a line light source 3 is arranged in the part 2. At this time, the plate 1 performs injection molding by using a metallic mold having a shape capable of forming the part 2 to form the part 2 concurrently with the forming of the plate 1. Then a light quantity adjusting part 4 is directly formed in the upper side of the source 3 of the plate 1 to partially reflect or partially absorb light radiated upward from the source 3 to restrain light quantity emitted from the plate 1 surface in the upper side of the source 3. Consequently, since light in upper and lateral directions from the source 3 can be obtained. Also, light toward the upper side of the source 3 can be introduced into the plate 1, a surface light emission device of high brightness, more effectively utilizing light from the source 3, can be adjustable, thereby unifying light, emitted from the plate 1 surface, in a place where the part 2 is provided and in the other place.

CONSTITUTION:In an edge light system surface light emission device arranged with a linear light source on the side surfaces of a transparent light transmission plate 1 and provided with a light diffusion and transmission part of the rear surface of the plate 1, the linear light source is the L-shaped linear light source 2 extending over two adjacent side surface of the plate 1, and side reflection plates 4 are arranged on two side surfaces of the plate 1 where the light source 2 is not arranged. Besides, the light diffusion and transmission part is provided so that the area ratio thereof becomes the maximum at a point which exists at the corner part of the plate 1 on the reflection plate 4 side or on the more center side of the plate 1 than the corner part and where the brightness of the linear light source is minimized and becomes smaller as it is away from the point. Then, the parts of the light diffusion and transmission part where the area ratio is identical exist in a circumference state or in a circular-arc state.
