    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for display device with antireflection property and to facilitate the adjustment of light transmittance over a wide range, by providing one end face of a plastic film base material with an antireflection film and the other end face of the base material with a colored tacky adhesive layer. SOLUTION: This filter 1 for display device is constituted by forming the antireflection film 3 on one surface side of the plastic base material 1 and the colored tacky adhesive layer 4 on the outer surface side. The antireflection film 3 is preferably formed to the two-layered structure composed of a light absorption film 3a and a dielectric film 3b. As a result, a high antireflection effect is obtainable with the min. film constitution and the adjustment of the light transmittance is made easy by the combination with the colored tacky adhesive layer 4. The light absorption film 3a may be composed of a metallic film, for which metals, for example, Au, Pt, Pd, Ni-Cr, Al, In2 O3 -SnO2 , Ag, CuI, CuS, Cr and Cu, may be exemplified. If the light absorption film 3a is composed of the metallic film, the light absorption film 3a functions as a conductive film as well.
