    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate easy editing of picture information, by once storing the original picture information in a buffer memory and processing the stored data based on a prescribed editing program. CONSTITUTION:The picture data generated at a transmitting part 9 of a facsimile device 8 is written into a buffer memory 12 via a facsimile control part 11 and then transferred to a display buffer memory 14. Then a picture based on the picture data stored in the memory 14 is displayed at a display device 13. The region to which a zooming is desired is designated through a position selecting part 15, and thus the picture data corresponding to the desired region is transferred to the memory 14 and displayed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception system which performs flexible print operations efficiently at low cost. SOLUTION: A set-top box STB 30 receives a digital broadcast program and a display device 31 displays this digital broadcast program, and a printer 32 prints out an image included in the digital broadcast program. In this case, an image drawing engine section 53 generates image data included in a digital broadcast program and a video RAM section 54 temporarily stores the data. Furthermore, the image data stored in the video RAM section 54 are transferred to a print RAM section 55. Then the image data stored in the video RAM section 54 are outputted to a display device 31 and the image data stored in the print RAM section 55 are outputted to the printer 32.

The printer 50 prints an image based on the supplied image data.

CONSTITUTION:A program for controlling the operation of a printer 11 itself is stored previously into the ROM 23 of a printer 11 while a program, wherein the printer 11 becomes a printer having a target function, and a program, wherein the printer 11 becomes a printer having initiator function, which are in SCSI protocol programs, are stored previously in the ROM 23. On the other hand, a program, which controls the operation of a scanner 9 itself, is stored previously in the ROM 33 of the scanner 9 and a program, wherein the scanner 9 becomes a scanner having target function among the SCSI protocol programs, are stored. Accordingly, a picture data can be read into the printer 11 directly from the scanner 9 through the SCSI path 6 without passing through the host computer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the number of operators and at the same time to effectively avoid the misoperations by providing a control circuit which displays the functions of the operators, a detecting circuit which detects the operations of the operators, etc., at only the operators that can be operated. CONSTITUTION:A message of an initial state is displayed at a liquid crystal display part 63 of a still picture transmitter 10 via an output circuit 62 with application of a power supply. At the same time, a control circuit 18 outputs a switch signal to select a prescribed input terminal via the operators 64A - 64E and outputs the input video signal to an output terminal. In a basic mode, the display showing a record mode, the display showing a switch mode to another action mode, etc., are shown at the upper part of an operatable one of those operators. Thus nothing is shown at the upper part of such the operator that has no significance of operation. Furthermore the input is attained for the characters of JIS standard in accordance with continuous operations of ten keys. Thus it is possible to decrease the number of the operators and to ensure the input of character codes. That is, the number of the operators can be decreased to effectively avoid the misoperations. At the same time, an input device can be miniaturized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a multiprocessor system for ensuring a high processing speed by dividing data to be processed into plural segments and executing simultaneously the processing of data corresponding to each memory request in synchronizing with a bus clock. CONSTITUTION:Processors P0-P7 in plural subsystems share and process the given work to be processed. A shared memory means 2 is constituted of plural memory banks MB0-MB7. When said processors P0-P7 transmit the memory request to use said memory banks, a mediating device 16, receiving said request, issues an enable signal for permitting the occupation of the specified memory bank, simultaneously divides data exchanged between the processors P0-P7 and the memory banks MB0-MB7 into segment data of the prescribed data amount, and assigns a time slot so formed to synchronize with a bus clock BCLK to plural memory banks.
