Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture oriented film, which is thinner than ever, by a method wherein electrostatic impression method is employed or the positional relation between the lip gap of a mouth piece and a cooling drum is prescribed in the extrusion casting process of polyolefin film. CONSTITUTION:In the extrusion casting process of polyolefin film, electrostatic impression method is employed. In this case, electrostatic force to be applied is properly set on the basis of the thickness of undrawn sheet or the like. When tungsten wire is employed as an electrode, normally the voltage of 50-10kV is applied preferably. The surface temperature of a cooling drum is preferably 40-120 deg.C and especially preferably 60-90 deg.C. Further, the thickness of the undrawn sheet is properly set according to the target thickness and the normal thickness is preferably 50-200mum and especially preferably 80-150mum. Furthermore, the angle between the straight line that connects the lip gap of a mouth piece and the vertex of the cooling drum and the vertical line is 20 deg. or less and, at the same time, the distance between the mouth piece and the cooling drum is preferably 5mm or less.

The rough layer (layer B) has >=10 piece/mm roughness density PC1 of >1mum roughness, and the laminated film has 0.0002-0.010 double refraction, >=10% total haze, and gel and fish-eye.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite film with high hiding power, good cushioning properties and good smoothness by laminating a layer A and a layer B each constituted by mixing a specified amt. of poly-4-methylpentene-1 (hereinbelow abbreviated as PMP) in a crystalline polypropylene (hereinbelow abbreviated as PP) contg. a crystallization nucleating agent and specifying a density, an optical concn., a cushioning ratio and a surface roughness of the surface of the layer B of a composite film. CONSTITUTION:An opaque polypropylene composite film is prepd. by laminating a resin layer (a layer B) wherein a crystalline PP contg. a beta crystallization nucleating agent is mixed with 1-9 wt.% PMP at least on one face of a resin layer (a layer A) wherein a crystalline PP contg. a beta crystallization nucleating agent is mixed with 10-40 wt.% PMP. The composite film has a density of 0.75 g/cm or smaller, an optical concn. of 0.6 or larger, a cushioning ratio of 8 % or larger and a surface roughness (Ra) of the surface of the layer B of 0.30 or less. As this composite film especially exhibits excellent hiding power, good luster and good cushioning properties of the film, processability for printing is good and good finishing can be obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a laminated film with a film polyester layer with very little pinholes and superior as a capacitor film by specifying proper viscosity and friction coefficient of a polyester film and a laminated film formed with composite polyester films at least on one surface of a polyolefin film. CONSTITUTION:A laminated film formed with composite polyester films at least on one surface of a polyolefin film is provided with proper viscosity of 0.58 or more to 1.5 or less and friction coefficient of 0.7 or more to 1.5 or less. The thickness of the polyester film is 0.3-1.5mum and the average value of peeling force of the polyolefin film and polyester film is 2-0.7g/cm, while the average diameter of recesses formed by the projections on the surface of polyester film on a peeled surface after peeling intrusion into the surface of polyolefin film is 0.2-5mum and its distributed density is 500-5000pcs./0.1mm .

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a film from being cut off and insulation resistance from being lowered by separating away a metal deposition film from a laminate film composed of a supporter film comprising thermoplastic resin and the metal deposition film both laminated in close contact with each other, and thereafter effecting voltage-processing of the laminate film two times or more such that posterior processing voltage is higher than anterior processing voltage. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element is formed by separating away a metal deposition film from a laminate film composed of a supporter film comprising thermoplastic resin and the 0.2-2.0mum thick metal deposition film. Thereupon, voltage processing is carried out two times or more between the separation process and an element process, and posterior processing voltage is higher than anterior processing voltage. Hereby, a fine circular pin hole is formed to prevent the film from being cut away by the pin hole. Further, since self heal is effected two times or more in a stepwise manner. The more complete capacitor is formed to increase insulation resistance after the capacitor is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film, by which the electric characteristics of a thin polyester film capacitor can be improved, by providing a layer comprising a phenoxy resin and polyisocyanate on at least one surface of a base layer comprising mainly a polyester film, and forming evaporated metal on the surface of said layer. CONSTITUTION:This film is composed of a base layer (I) comprising mainly polyester film, a layer (II) comprising a phenoxy resin and polyisocyanate, which is provided at least on one surface of the base layer (II), and evaporated metal (III), which is formed on the surface of the layer (II). The ratio (II/I) of the thicknesses of a said layer (II) and the base layer (I) is made to be 0.1-1.0. It is desirable that the base layer (I) is the laminated body of the polyester film and a polyoolefine film, which is provided at least on one surface of the film. It is desirable that the thickness of said polyester film is made to be 1.5-0.2mum.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the breakage of a film by a method wherein a clip, whose length in the advancing direction of a plastic film in a grip is different between an upper part and a lower part, is employed and the film is stretched while arranging the grip, whose clip is longer, on the lower surface of the plastic film. CONSTITUTION:A clip should have a length in the advancing direction of a film in a grip, which is different between an upper part and a lower part. In another word, the length of the upper part 3 and the length of the lower part 4 should be different. Further, the longer clip is arranged below the plastic film to expand it. The length of the clip is preferable to be 10-100mm and more preferable to be 20-80mm. The difference of the length is preferable to be O.5-10mm and more preferable to be 1-4mm. When the length and the difference of lengths are smaller than these values, the breakage of the film due to the concentration of stretching stress is readily generated and, on the other hand, when the same are larger than these ranges, the film is stretched between the grips of the clip and whereby not only the breakage of the film is generated readily but also the width of one set of clip becomes wide uselessly and the necking of the end portions of the film upon stretching becomes large.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film which has no bubbles and is useful as a substrate for photographic paper, labels, display board, white board, X-ray intensifying screen, etc., by melt-extruding a mixture of polyethylene terephthalate, pulverized calcium carbonate and a phosphorus compd. and biaxially orienting the film. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate (A) composed of at least 80mol% of ethylene terephthalate units, 5-25pts.wt. pulverized calcium carbon ate (B) having an average particle size of 0.1-4mu, a degree of whiteness of not lower than 80% and an impurity content of not higher than 10%, and 0.005-1pt.wt. phosphorus compd. (C) such as phosphorous acid, phosphoric acid and allyl or alkyl phosphates, etc. are thoroughly dried and then mixed with one another in a mixer, etc. to obtain a mixture. The mixture is fed to an extruder heated to 260-290 deg.C and melt-extruded through a T-die. The resulting unoriented film is simultaneously oriented in the lengthwise and widthwise directions 2-5 times at a drawing temp. of 80-130 deg.C. If desired, the oriented film is thermally set at 150-235 deg.C for 1-60sec to obtain the titled film.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the contact with a head and to obtain good runnability by forming a magnetic layer on one face of a film which is specified in average surface roughness and the contents of inside and outside particles and is specified in the crystal sizes in the longitudinal and transverse directions to specific values or above. CONSTITUTION:Chips of polyethylene terephthalate are supplied to an extruder by which the chips are melted, extruded and discharged. An non-oriented and unstretched sheet is formed upon quick cooling and solidifying. The sheet is stretched 3.3-4 times at 80-100 deg.C. The film obtd. in such a manner is simultaneously biaxially stretched in the longitudinal and transverse directions in a 1.4-1.8 range at 130-160 deg.C and is subjected to heat setting. The magnetic layer is then formed on one face of the film. The plane particle roughness is thereby made 0.002-0.4mum and the inside and outside particles are incorporated into the magnetic layer at 0.001-0.8wt%. The crystal sizes in the longitudinal and transverse directions are made >=50 Angstrom, by which the contact with the head is improved and the good runnability is obtd.

CONSTITUTION:In a laminate film consisting of a polyolefin film and a polyester film, modified silicone oil, {which is represented by formulae I -III [wherein Me is methyl, R1 is 1-20C hydrocarbon, R2 is H or 1-20C hydrocarbon, (x) is 1- 50, (y) is 2-50 and (n) is 1-5] and of which the modification ratio is pref. 45- 99% and the viscosity is pref. 100-10,000 centistokes} is preliminarily contained in the polyolefin film pref. in an amount of 0.05-0.5wt%. Then, said laminate film is peeled to obtain the objective film.
