Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively manufacture a thermoplastic resin composite material reinforced with a long fiber by a method wherein a reinforced fiber bundle is brought continuously into contact with a thermoplastic resin below a specified melt viscosity and being transferred being pinched with a plate-like unit having a heating region heated above the softening point but below the decomposition temperature of the thermoplastic resin and a cooling region coinciding with it in the moving direction and the direction of fiber. CONSTITUTION:A carbon fiber bundle 1 made up by 3,000 pieces of carbon fibers 7mum in the diameter is fed to a resin bath 3 to which a polyphenylene sulfide PPS with the melt viscosity of 1,500 poise heated up to 310 deg.C from an extruder 2 and then, taken up from dies 4 with the diameter of 1mm. to obtain a 0.7mm.- diameter PPS-attached carbon fiber bundle 5. Subsequently, the bundle is driven with a pair of heating rolls 6 and cooling rolls 7 rotating in the direction of the arrow and fed between a pair of stainless steel endless belts 9 heated with an infrared heater 8 from the side of the heating rolls 6. Finally, it is taken up with a pair of rubber rolls 10 rotating in the direction of the arrow to obtain a long- sized product 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture the captioned material having an excellent performance with high productivity by shaping a compound sheet made integrally of long carbon fiber foil and thermoplastic resin above a melting point and a softening point of this resin and below its decomposition temperature and subjecting it to cooling process. CONSTITUTION:A compound sheet made integrally of a cloth foil-shaped substance, i.e. a clothlike material consisting of strands of bundled carbon filaments, a mat- shaped substance of continuous long fiber and thermoplastic resin such as styrene resin, acrylic resin, etc., is shaped into a desired form above a melting point or a softening point of this thermoplastic resin and below its decomposition temperature. Next, it is cooled and manufactured into a carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin formed product. The cloth foil is reinforced by glass fiber, metallic fiber, polyamide fiber, etc. While the thermoplastic resin can be added with various additives such as heat resisting agent, lubricant, coloring agent, short fiber-shaped reinforcing fiber, etc. for property improvement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a molded product made of thermoplastic polyamide resin and crosslinked in a simple manner, by a method wherein polyamide resin powder of 10 meshes and below and a crosslinking agent are mixed, and when said mixture is formed by pressure at a given temperature, they, simultaneously, are reacted to each other. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin having particle diameter of below 10 meshes and a crosslinking agent are mixed, and said mixture is formed by pressure as it is heated at higher than a melting point or softening point of thermoplastic polyamide resin and at below a decomposition temperature. Simultaneously, the crosslinking agent and polyamide resin are reacted to each other to produce a crosslinked molded product. Aliphatic polyamide such as nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 610, etc. can be used as the thermoplastic polyamide resin, and polyisocianate, ethylene oxide, etc., can be used as the crosslinking agent. Multifunctional epoxide is especially suitable for said crosslinking agent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize a stable cell property, by sticking a carbon fiber cloth at least one side of a sheet-form partition wall consisting of a compound material of a carbon fiber textile and a resin. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of a sheet-form partition wall consisting of a carbon fiber textile and a resin, a carbon cloth is stuck. By superposing a thermoplastic resin sheet and a carbon fiber textile, and pressing at the pressure 5 to 100 kg/cm , at the temperature above the melting point or the softening point and below the dissolution point, preferably at the temperature 10 deg.C to 100 deg.C above the melting point, the thermosetting resin is impregnated into the carbon fiber textile, and a sheet-form compound material of the resin and the cloth is acquired. By using such a compound material as a partition wall, a high rigidity is given to the electrode plate and no liquid permeability in the thickness direction is given. Furthermore, it exercises a partition role to prohibit the mixing of electrolytes for positive and negative electrodes when the cell is used.
