    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet type object conveying device applying sure width expanding force to a sheet type object for conveying it with its wrinkle spread without causing any flaw or breakage in it in a sheet type object oonveying process and usable for spreading a wrinkle even in the vacuum such as inside a deposition machine and to provide a sheet type object manufacturing method using this conveying device. SOLUTION: In this sheet type object conveying device constructed of a group of a plurality of rotational rolls arranged in the sheet type object running direction and brought into contact with a sheet type object for running it, each roll is provided with parts having high roll surface traction force to the sheet object on its both end sides within a width range abutting to the sheet type object. When a roll axial width of a low traction force part arranged on the inside of both end sides of a roll positioned on the upstream side is represented by (a) while a roll axial width of a low traction force part arranged on the inside of both sides of a roll positioned on the downstream side is represented by (b), the following relationships are satisfied: (a) =0, b>O.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deflection of a roll by using an FRP solid shaft arranging reinforcing fibers in the axial direction of the roll as the shaft of the roll. SOLUTION: Journals 13a, 13b are joined to both ends of the FRP solid shaft 11 arranging the reinforcing fibers in the axial direction through heat resistant adhesive 14. The journals 13a, 13b are desirably fitted and stuck by boring the end surfaces of the shaft. On the outer periphery of the FRP solid shaft 11, an outer coating body 12 of rubber, metal, ceramics, resin, etc., is arranged. The reinforcing fiber is desirably a carbon fiber having Young's modulus. Thermosetting resin of epoxy resin, etc., is used as matrix resin. The containing ratio of the fiber vol. in the FRP solid shaft 11 is 50-75%. Relating to the FRP solid shaft 11, a layer which does not arrange the fiber in the axial direction only at a little part, can be arranged by arranging the layer composed of a hoop layer or a prepreg weaving the fibers at 0 deg. and 90 deg. direction only to the outermost layer. The outer diameter of the FRP solid 11 is made to 25-200 mm.

SOLUTION: A shaft 2 is concentrically inserted into a roller shell 3, and a supporting member (collar) 4 is interposed between the roller shell 3 and the shaft 2 at a central part in the axial direction so as to connect the shaft 2 and the roller shell 3 to each other at a central part in the axial direction. With this structure, during the work for assembling a pressure-contact roller 1, the compressive stress at the time of pressing the shaft 2 into the roller shell 3 is applied to the collar 4. A load applied to the roller shell 3 from the shaft 2 through the collar 4 is evenly applied to a winding roller.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet material having an uniform thickness at low cost by using fitting cylinder having a heating medium passage channel formed between inner and outer cylinders, and a heat treatment roll in which inlet and outlet holes of heating medium and a support shaft having a guide passage are supported by spherical bearings. CONSTITUTION:A spiral channel 27 for guiding a heating fluid M is provided on the outer circumferential surface of an inner cylinder 22, and shrinkage-fitted to an outer cylinder 21 to form a fitting cylinder 30, and a guide passage 34a of the heating medium M and a support shaft 23 having an inlet hole 32 and an outlet hole 33 are supported by spherical slide bearings 24 disposed with a determined space. The support shaft 23 is inserted to the fitting cylinder 30 both end parts, end members 25 having heating medium guide passages 34b, 34c formed are provided, elastic members 26a-26d are interposed between the fitting cylinder 30 and the support shaft 23, and the support shaft 23 and the end member 25, respectively, to seal the connecting parts in the heating medium guide passage 34a-34c. Thus, the distortion of the support shaft 23 never affect the outer cylinder part 21, and a roll which can easily provides an uniform thickness at low cost can be provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate an ununiform nip in a roller improved in its vibration absorptivity further with the smallness of diameter by mounting a bearing in two places with a fixed space in the lengthwise direction of a shaft, in the case of the nip roller or the like. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a forced contact roller 5 constituted of a cylindrical rotary unit 8 comprising a metal inner layer 8a and an outer layer 8b of rubber or the like, shaft 6 having a journal part in the both ends and fluid cylinders 9a, 9b provided in the journal part, spherical bearings 7a, 7b are arranged with a fixed space C in the central part of the shaft 6. The cylindrical rotary unit 8 is rotatably supported to the shaft 6 by these spherical bearings 7a, 7b, further the rotary unit 8, even when it is deflected with pressing force by the pressing means 9a, 9b, is supported with no free deflection impeded. By this constitution, the cylindrical rotary unit 8, with no restriction by a deflection amount of a rewinding roller 10, can be deflected in a follow-up manner to a deflecting curve of the roller, enabling a uniform nip to be attained in a sheet width direction further the smallness to be obtained of a diameter in the cylindrical rotary unit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce variance in the tension of a film taken up by a drive roll by employing a control device for controlling the brake force of a brake device according to the output signal of a position detection device. CONSTITUTION:When the tension of a film 1 decreases, the film 1 between guide rolls 2 and 3 slackens, a position detection device 15 detects the slack and makes a control device 14 work, and the brake force of a brake device 12 is increased. As a result, rotation of a shaft core 9 is also braked and the rewinding tension of a roll-like film 10, namely the tension of the film 1, increases. When the film tension increases on the contrary, slack of the film 1 between guide rolls 2 and 3 due to suction forces by a suction device 7 decreases, the position detection device 15 detects the decrease in the slack to make the control device 14 work to reduce the brake force of the brake device 12. As a result, rotation of the shaft core 9 becomes easier and the rewinding force of the roll-like film 10, namely the tension of the film 1, decreases.
