Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for opening and closing a window by slidably moving a movable window sash or door (hereinafter collectively called a ‘movable window sash’) with respect to a fixed window sash or door (hereinafter collectively called a ‘fixed window sash’). The apparatus is designed such that the movable window sash cannot only slide along a rail mounted within a blank frame but also be separated from a roller to move back and forth from any position on a rail toward the blank frame or the fixed window sash in a perpendicular direction with respect to a length direction of the rail, thus allowing the entire seal member interposed between either the blank frame or the fixed window sash and the movable window sash to be uniformly pressed in the perpendicular direction. Thus, excellent soundproofing, air tightness (windproofing), water tightness, insulation performance, and wind pressure resistance can be provided. Furthermore, the sliding window system has a simplified opening/closing structure and a minimum number of components, and low manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
A locking device for a sliding door or a swing and sliding door having a door leaf, the lock device comprising a drive train including at least one motor, a drive transmission and a drive spindle. The locking device also comprises a locking transmission and a torque dividing arrangement.
Abstract:
A shaft such as a worm drive shaft for a movable barrier operator is disclosed. The shaft includes at least two shaft segments having connection ends. The shaft segments include respective connection ends permitting a first connection end to be joined with a second connection end by inserting a portion of at least one of the connection ends within the other connection end along the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The shaft segments may be retained by a resiliently expandable connector such as a snap ring. The connector may expand to permit the joining and then contract to be received within a surface recess on a connection end. The connector may be part of or pre-assembled on a connection end, such as by being positioned within a surface recess thereof. The connector may provide a pre-determined position for joining the first and-second connection ends.
Abstract:
A shaft operator assembly for moving a door assembly which includes a movable door leaf and a door shaft attached to the door leaf for common movement together. A shaft connecting unit includes a shaft connecting element and a connecting plate element and connects a driven member of the shaft operator assembly with minimal space requirements to the door shaft. The connecting plate element, which can be secured to or integrally configured with the driven member, is relatively thin to permit the jack shaft operator and connecting plate element to be shifted into a fitted position even where little space is available. The shaft connecting element is mountable non-rotatably on the door shaft and includes an axial opening extending through the shaft connecting element for receiving the door shaft.
Abstract:
A vehicle door, wherein a drive unit for raising and lowering a glass plate is constructed so that a pluraity of pulleys across which wires are laid are provided at upper and lower sides of a base panel. The glass plate is moved up and down by driving the wires, the glass plate is prevented from moving in a vehicle inward direction when the door is closed. Wire fixing portions are prevented from being damaged by great upward and downward stroke movements of the glass plate. Furthermore, the wires are prevented from slackening when the wires are driven and stopped by a supporting rod along an upward and downward movement locus of the glass plate, and by a contact member which has no contact with the supporting rod. Trumpet-shaped guide portions are located at hole edges of the wire fixing portions, and the circumferential surfaces of a tensioner are V-shaped for eliminating slack in the wires.
Abstract:
A power-operated system for actuating the rear doors or liftgates of motor vehicles is disclosed. The system includes an articulating strut mounted between a vehicle frame and the rear door. A motor assembly is operatively coupled between the articulating strut and the vehicle frame for changing the angular orientation and, in turn, mechanical advantage provided by the articulating strut. The articulating strut is moved into angular orientations of greater mechanical advantage in order to effect opening of the rear door and lesser mechanical advantage to effect closing of the rear door.
Abstract:
A deflection roller installation fastening a deflection roller for a rope used for driving a motor vehicle window pane. Deflection rollers are rotatably mounted on a window-lifting rail used for guiding the pane. The window-lifting rail is provided with an outward formation for receiving the deflection rollers. A module support couples the window-lifting rail to a portion of a vehicle door, the module support including a peg engaging the outward formation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicle door, wherein a drive unit for raising and lowering a glass plate is constructed so that a plurality of pulleys across which wires are laid are provided at upper and lower sides of a base panel, the glass plate is moved up and down by driving the wires, the glass plate is prevented from moving in a vehicle inward direction when the door is closed, wire fixing portions are prevented from being damaged by great upward and downward stroke movements of the glass plate, and furthermore, the wires are prevented from slackening when the wires are driven and stopped. This is realized by providing a supporting rod along an upward and downward movement locus of the glass plate and a contact member which has no contact with the supporting rod, by forming trumpet-shaped guide portions at hole edges of the wire fixing portions, and by V-shaping the circumferential surfaces of a tensioner for eliminating slack of the wires.
Abstract:
A drivable flap hinge for connecting a flaps such as a front hood or a trunk lid, to a body of an automobile in an articulated manner. The drivable hinge includes a first retaining part for fixing to the flap, a second retaining part for fixing to the body, at least one connecting member, which is pivotably arranged on at least one of the two retaining parts with a joint, and a driving motor, which is drive-connected to a joint pin of the joint. The flap hinge advantageously enables a front gate or tail gate of an automobile to pivot in a driven manner as a result of the driven joint pin connecting the first retaining part and the connection member.
Abstract:
The invention relative to a shaft operator assembly (8) for powering a door (2) comprising a movable door leaf (4) and a door shaft (6) geared to the door leaf (4) for common movement, including a shaft connecting means (20) for connecting a driven member (35) of the shaft operator assembly (8) to the door shaft (6). To permit fitting the shaft operator assembly even where little space is available it is proposed in accordance with the invention that the shaft connecting means (20) comprises a connecting plate element (29) secured to or integrally configured with the driven member (35) and a shaft connecting element (28) mountable non-rotatably, more particularly positively non-rotatably, on the door shaft (6), the shaft connecting element (28) including an axial opening (39) extending through the shaft connecting element (28) for receiving non-rotatably, more particularly positively non-rotatably, the door shaft (6) and connectable or connected by a plate connecting portion (42) located radial outside of the opening 39 to the connecting plate element (29). In addition, the invention relates to a door provided therewith as well as to a method for fitting the shaft operator assembly.
