Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are 8kDa antigen derived from Brucella abortus RB51, its purification method and a detection method of antibody for RB51 using the same antigen. CONSTITUTION: 8kDa antigen is derived from the surface of Brucella abortus RB51 and purified by the steps of: treating Brucella abortus RB51 with sarcosine to extract antigens from its surface; concentrating the extract with ammonium sulfate; dissolving the concentrate in triton X-100 then passing it through Superose 12HR 10/30 column; then passing the fractions through Sephacryl S-100.
