Abstract: A method for inquiring contents by using the SOAP operation is provided to enable a user to receive corresponding contents which satisfies a composite calculation result by using the arithmetic operation. In the SOAP query operation, a request element field type is added to request to search various contents through a comparison operation. A request message of the SOAP query operation is transmitted to a contents service server. The request message includes a constant value type for assigning only constants to operands of the arithmetic and comparison operations, and an arithmetic operator type of operator information in which a content extracting condition is clearly expressed. The constant value type defines all types related to the arithmetic operation as selective elements in the basic MPEG7 and xml types.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A humming based audio searching system and method thereof are provided to enable a user to search desired sound by comparing user humming with sound stored in a data base. CONSTITUTION: A feature extraction apparatus(120) extracts feature information by inputting humming.
