Abstract: PURPOSE: A step sequence checking method is provided to achieve improved reliability of judgement and prevent influence of external elements causing noises. CONSTITUTION: A step sequence checking method comprises a step of measuring the current and voltage flowing along the electromagnetic coil which is used in the reactor control rod driving apparatus; a step of calculating inductance of the electromagnetic coil by using the measured values of the current and voltage; and a step of obtaining the distance between the mover and stator of the reactor control rod driving apparatus on the basis of the inductance calculated in the previous step, and checking the step sequence of the reactor control rod driving apparatus in accordance with the obtained distance.
