    Abstract: A hood hinge of a vehicle is provided to deform the hood onto which a pedestrian hit by the vehicle crashes to minimize the impact exerting on the pedestrian by installing an upper link to a lower link fixed to the hood with a hood hinge pin so as to allow the upper link to fold when an external force is exerted on the outer side of the hood, thereby effectively absorbing the impact energy of the pedestrian. A hood hinge of a vehicle comprises a lower link(12) fixed to a chassis, and an upper link(14) fixed to a hood(2) and folded when an impact is exerted on the hood from the outer side. A hood hinge pin(16) couples upper and lower links and allow the upper link to move in up or down directions. The upper link includes a first upper arm(20) combining to the hood, a second upper arm(22) coupled to the lower link through the hood hinge pin, an upper link hinge pin(24) rotatably coupling first and second arms, and a stopper(26) restraining the first upper arm from moving up or down with respect to the second upper arm. The first upper arm has two coupling holes(20a,20b) for allowing a coupling member(21) to couple the first upper arm to the hood. An eye end(22a) combining to the hood by the hood hinge pin is projected downward from the second upper arm. The stopper has a stopper rod(26a) projecting from the first upper arm towards the second upper arm. A stopper groove(26b) is disposed on the second upper arm and the stopper protrusion engages into a lower side of the stopper rod.
