    Abstract: The invention relates to 3-(4,5-dihydroisoxalole-5-yl)benzoylpyrazole of the formula therein the variables have the following meanings: R1, R2 represent hydrogen, nitro, halogen, cyano, alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkoxy, halogenalkoxy, alkylthio, halogen alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, halogenalkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl or halogenalkylsulfonyl; hydrogen, R3 represents halogen or alkyl; R4 represents hydrogen or alkyl; R5, R6 represent hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, dialkylamino, phenyl or carbonyl, wherein the latter six groups can be substituted; R7 represents halogen, cyano, hydroxy, alkyl, halogenalkyl, alkoxy, halogenalkoxyalkylthio, halogenalkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, halogenalkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, halogenalkylsulfonyl, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, dialkoxymethyl, hydroxyiminoalkyl, alkoxyiminoalkyl or optionally substituted carbonyl; R11 represents optionally substituted pyrazole that is bound in the 4 position and carries a hydroxy group or a derivative thereof in the 5 position.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing compounds of formula (I), whereby: a) a bicyclic olefin of formula (II) is reacted with haloform in th e presence of a base to produce the ring-enlarged product of formula (III); b) the compound of formula (III) is hydrolyzed to produce the allyl alcohol of formula (IV); c) the allyl alcohol of formula (IV) is oxidized to produce th e unsaturated ketone of formula (V); d) the ketone of formula (V) is reacted with a nucleophilic ion Y, which stabilizes a negative charge, to produce th e ketone of formula (VI), and; e) the ketone of formula (VI) is hydrolyzed to produce the bicyclic 1,3-diketone of formula (I). In formulas (I) to (VI), R 1- R5, X, Y and Z have the meanings as cited in the description. The invention also relates to novel intermediate products and to novel methods for produci ng these intermediate products.
