    Abstract: Multi-metal oxide compsn. of general formula ÄAÜpÄBÜq (I) is new (where, A = Mo12Va(X b)(X c)(X d)X e)(X f )(X g)Ox, B = X 12CuhHiOy (promoter phase); X = W, Nb, Ta, Cr and/or Ce; X = Cu, Ni, Co, Fe, M n and/or Zn; X = Sb and/or Bi; X = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs and/or H; X = Mg, Ca, Sr and/or Br; X = Si, Al, Ti and/or Zr; X = Mo, W, V, Nb and/or Ta; a = 1-8; b = 0.2-5; c = 0-23; d = 0-50; e = 0-2; f = 0-5; g = 0-50; h = 4-30; i = 0-20; x, y = values determining the valency and frequency of elements different from oxygen in the compsn.; and p, q = values other than zero, whose ratio p/q = 160-1:1. The proportions of (A)p and (B)q are in the form of chemical compsns. differing from their local environment. A and B are distributed relative to each other such as a mixt. of finely divided A and finely divided B, with the proviso that B contains crystals B* of oxometallates of formula CuMoaWbVcNbdTeOy (II) (where, a/(A+B+C+D+E)=0.7-1.3; (B+C+D+E)/A = 0.01-1; and Y = a value determined by the valency and frequency of elements in (II) different from oxygen) of a new structure type (HT-Cu molybdate) defined by the X-ray diffraction pattern: d(A)=6.79+/-0.3; 3.56+/-0.3; 3.54+/-0.3, 3.40+/-0.3; 3.04+/-0.3, 2.96+/-0.3; 2.67+/-0.2; 2.66+/-0.2; 2.56+/-0.2, 2.36+/-0.2; 2.35+/-0.2; 2.27+/-0.2; 2.00+/-0.2;1.87+/-0.3; 1.70+/-0.2; 1.64+/-0.2; 1.59+/-0.2; 1.57+/-0.2; 1.57+/-0.2; 1.55+/-0.2; 1.51+/-0.2; 1.44+/-0.2. Also claimed are: (i) the oxometallates of formula (II); (ii) mixt. of oxometallates (II); (iii) prodn. of the multi-metal oxide compsn..

Abstract: A process for the preparation of zeolites of the ZSM-5 structural type from a mixture of SiO2 and Al(OH)3 by hydrothermal crystallization in an aqueous amine solution, in the absence of alkali, at from 100 DEG to 200 DEG C., wherein the crystallization is carried out in the presence of a triamine, tetraamine and/or higher amine and the reaction mixture is formulated to have an SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio defined by an equation which involves the chain length and number of amine groups of the amine employed, as well as to have certain molar ratios of H2O/amine and amine/Al2O3, and the use of these zeolites as catalysts for the conversion of alcohols and/or dialkyl ethers to olefins and/or aromatics.
