    SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve has a valve part B for allowing fuel flow and shutting it off, and an injection part (specifically, an injection hole 21) provided on the tip end side of the valve part B and being opened/closed by the shutting off and allowing of fuel flow. In the fuel injection valve 10 for injecting fuel from the injection hole 21 and forming a fuel spray, an obstacle 80 (specifically, a wire 81) is provided for adjusting spray characteristic of the fuel spray. The wire 81 is arranged on the downstream side of the injection part.

SOLUTION: Gas is jetted toward fuel flowing through the injection hole from a gas introducing passage, and a shape of the injection hole 12b is formed gradually increasing its diameter from the upstream side to the downstream side. Thus, when the fuel flows inside the injection hole 12b, fuel pressure at the center is lowered, so that a cavity of a gas phase is formed at the center. This makes air flow into the fuel with lower air pressure than conventional fuel injection valves, allowing a liquid film to be thinned, so that the fuel injection valve can facilitate the atomization and the evaporation of the fuel injected from the injection hole, without increasing the pressure of the compressed air.
