    Abstract: A method and arrangement for controlling a multimedia communication session between a first terminal and a second terminal, the session being divided into a circuit-switched part and a packet-switched part. A notification on an event occurring in one of said circuit-switched and packet-switched parts is received in a common session server. The session server then reports to the other part of the communication session about said event, such that said other part can be controlled in response to said event.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangements for controlling transmission of data bits in a bit transfer session for transmitting data information from an application server (2) to a client (1), said bit transfe r session involving bit transfer over a wireless communications link by means of a transport protocol with a flow control mechanism. According to the present invention a radio resource managing unit (6) sends information regarding the bandwidth on the wireless link that the bit transfer session currently is allowed to use. This feedback information from the radio resource managing unit is used to set and update flow control parameters continuously througho ut the session. Thereby optimization of the flow control parameters is facilitated, which makes it possible to enhance the end-user QoS and provide more efficient use of available radio resources.

    Abstract: A system and method for associating an MSISDN of a mobile terminal with a temporarily assigned IP address is disclosed. A first server located within a wireless communications network generates and transmits a start packet to a service network responsive to an access request by a mobile terminal. The start packet includes the MSISDN of the mobile terminal and an assigned IP address. A second server within the service network extracts the MSISDN in the IP address from the received start packet and stores this information together within a database. When a service request is made by the mobile terminal to a server in the service network, the MSISDN may be determined from the database and used to access user parameters in a user database.

    Abstract: A method for web service handling in peer-to-peer communication is provided. A web service (412-1) associated with a web service identity e.g. a URI is arranged in a first mobile node (410). Unique identification information is formed by combining the web service identity with a unique circuit switched identifier of the mobile node, such as the E.164 number. The unique identification information is transmitted to a registration unit (440) and registered together with location information that enables for other mobile nodes (420) to find the web service. The location information may for example comprise the current IP address of the first mobile node and the port number for the web service at this node, or relate to an intermediate device used to reach the web service at the first mobile node.

    Abstract: A multimedia messaging system for sending and receiving multimedia MMS messages. The MMS messages are sent to a MMS server and addressed to the recipient's MSISDN number. MMS server sends a notification to a PAP server that sends the notification as a WAP Push to the recipient mobile device telling the mobile device to retrieve the message. If the recipient mobile device is engaged in an on going or dedicated session with the Internet, the notification is sent to the recipient mobile device during the session. The recipient mobile device then initiates a HTTP GET request to retrieve the multimedia message via the voice or data channel of a PLMN. If the recipient mobile device is not engaged in an on going or dedicated session with the Internet, the notification is sent to the recipient mobile device as a WAP Push using SMS as bearer via the signaling channel of the PLMN. The recipient mobile device then initiates a HTTP GET request to retrieve the multimedia message via the voice or data channel of the PLMN.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for electronic commerce as well as a method for checking that a buyer has electronically registered a purchase before delivery of a purchased merchandise. A problem is to secure who the buyer (SBS) is without him or her having established a relationship in advance with the seller. The invention solves the problem by letting the seller offer his/her merchandise from an application (AP1-AP3) in an internal packet data network (CSN). The packet data network is connected to a GSM-network. The buyer (SBS) is provided with a mobile terminal (MS). A session with the application can be set up only from a mobile terminal, and the application then receives information about the identity of the terminal. With reference to this identity, the application sends an order back to the GSM-network. According to one embodiment, the order means that a payment order shall be registered in a payment node, which is controlled by the operator of the GSM-network, for later charging of the buyer. According to another embodiment, a given account number is checked.
