    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium having excellent durability and environment stability by specifying the skewness on the front surface of a carbon substrate as a base and forming a lubricant layer by gaseous phase reaction atop this substrate. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic layer 3 is arranged via a ground surface layer 2 atop the carbon substrate 1 as the base and the hybrid lubricant layer 5 is disposed atop the magnetic layer 3. The surface of the substrate 1 is so formed that the max. value and min. value of the skewnesses expressed by equation exist in a range of -1 to 4 and the average value thereof is within a range of 0 to 3. The lubricant layer 5 is formed by the gaseous phase reaction. In the equation described above, Yi denotes the distance from a center line to the peak top or valley bottom; Rq denotes the root mean square roughness and (n) denotes the number of data of Yi. As a result, the errors occurred at the time of reproducing and erasing of recording are decreased and the durability and environmental stability of the recording medium are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To efficiently produce a magnetic tape excellent in durability and traveling stability by forming a lubricant layer by gas phase polymn. on a metal thin film type magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION: This tape consists of a supporting body 1, a metal thin film type magnetic layer 2 formed by vapor deposition or the like on the supporting body 1, a first lubricant layer 3 formed on the magnetic layer 2, and a back coating layer 4 formed on the opposite side of the supporting body 1 to the surface where the magnetic layer 2 is formed. The lubricant layer is formed on the magnetic layer 2 by gas phase polymn. reaction of a fluorocarbon compd. and oxygen. When a protective layer 5 is formed on the magnetic layer 2, the lubricant is applied on the protective layer 5. If necessary, a second lubricant layer 6 is formed on the opposite surface of the back coating layer 4 to the surface in contact with the supporting body 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To ensure stable high CSS resistance by roughening the surface of a magnetic recording medium by selective irradiation with pulsating laser light in a region including a region where a magnetic head is in contact with the medium is caused during the running of the medium and at the time of stop and forming the lubricant layer by vapor phase polymn. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording medium 10 has a substrate 11, a magnetic layer 13 disposed on the substrate 11 and a lubricant layer 15 formed on the magnetic layer 13 or on a protective layer 14 when the protective layer 14 is disposed on the magnetic layer 13. The substrate 11 may be any of magnetic and nonmagnetic substrates, and the nonmagnetic substrate 11 is made of, e.g. carbon or tempered glass. A metallic thin film type magnetic layer formed by a PVD means may be used as the magnetic layer 13 and a film of a Co-based magnetic alloy such as Co-Cr or Co-Ni is, e.g. formed in 20-50nm thickness. The lubricant layer 15 is formed by vapor phase polymn., preferably by a reaction of a fluorocarbon compd. with oxygen and consists of a fixed layer 15a stuck on the top layer and a free layer 15b formed on the fixed layer 15a.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a conductive paste whereby a conductive paint-film being excellent in adhesion and conductivity can be formed by specifying the composition of each of an adhesion improver and an organic binder respectively contained in the conductive paste composed of conductive powder, the organic binder, an additive, a solvent and the adhesion improver. CONSTITUTION:A conductive paste is prepared which contains at least conductive powder, an organic binder, an additive, a solvent and an adhesion improver. The improver used at this time is made of a compound represented by a formula I wherein the symbols of T through T are similar or different in kind from one another and represent a hydrocarbon radical each having a number of carbon of 1 through 10, or represent a radical (h and j represent an integer each of 0 through 10, (i) represents an integer of 0 through 2, A represents a single bond, or NH, O or the like, and E represents a hydrogen atom, F, an amino radical or the like) each represented by a formula II, and (f) and (g) representing an integer each of 1 through 2,000 while having their terms randomly polymerized with each other represent the respective corresponding sum totals of of their mutually polymerized terms. The blended quantity of the adhesion improver is 0.001 to 5wt.% with respect to the total weight of a composition given by excluding the quantity of the solvent from the conductive paste composition. The organic binder includes not less than one kind of component being selected from melamine resin, phenolic resin, xylene resin and a hydroxystyrene group polymer respectively contained therein.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep high adhesion especially upon absorption of moisture by previously treating the surface of metal with a coupling agent thereby enhancing adhesion between conductive paste and the metal surface. CONSTITUTION:Metal surface is previously treated with coupling agent and then coated or printed with conductive paste. The coupling agent includes silane- based, chrome-based, and titanium-based coupling agents, and silane-based coupling agent is preferably employed. The metal surface is treated with coupling agent by bringing the treating liquid into contact with the metal surface through immersion, spraying, or the like. Concentration of coupling agent in the treating liquid is normally 0.05wt.% or above, preferably 0.1wt.% or above. The conductive paste is composed of conductive powder, organic binder, additive, and solvent. This method enhances adhesion without sacrifice of conductivity.

CONSTITUTION:After a plated layer 6 is formed on the inner wall of a through hole 5 formed in a board composed of copper-clad laminate, a circuit pattern 2, an earth pattern 3 and a land 4 for surface mount devices are formed on the board 1. Screen ultraviolet curing type resist ink or the like is spread so as to cover the circuit pattern 2, and an insulating layer 7 is formed by curing the ink. By spreading specified conductive paste so as to cover the insulating layer 7 and the earth pattern 3 and curing said paste, a shielding electrode layer 8 is formed. Said layer 8 is formed of conductive paste containing polyhydroxy styrene derivative or polyhydroxy styrene based copolymer and/or its derivative and thermosetting resin. Thereby resistance to migration of the board is remarkably improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve migration resistance and flexibility by a method wherein an organic binder contains a specific polyhydroxystylene derivative and thermosetting resin and a compounding quantity of conductive powder is set at 50-90wt.% of the total weight exclusive of the solvent. CONSTITUTION:An organic binder contains polyhydroxystylene derivative expressed by formula I and thermosetting resin, and a compounding quantity of conductive powder is 90wt.% of its total weight excluding a solvent. In the formula I, n=n>=3, and it is an arbitrary number until a number-average molecular weight of organic macromolecule becomes 10,000, m = a number of 0 -R represent H or an alkyl group of 5C. In case the compounding quantity of conductive powder is less than 50wt.%, sufficient conductivity cannot be obtained, and reversely, in case it is more than 90wt.%, the flexibility and migration resistance of film deteriorate. It is thereby possible to greatly improve the migration resistance and flexibility of paste film.
