    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid detergent composition which exhibits detergency higher than that of a solid soap in cleaning muddy dirt on clothes, socks, etc., especially muddy dirt in the case when used for coating, and is excellent in liquid stability by compounding saturated and unsaturated fatty acids having specified numbers of carbon atoms and/or their salts with a surfactant other than the foregoing acids and/or their salts in a specified wt. ratio. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by compounding (A) 1-30 wt.% sum of an 8-14C saturated fatty acid and/or its salt and a 14-18C unsaturated fatty acid and/or its salt with (B) 0.5-20 wt.% surfactant other than the foregoing acids and/or their salts in a wt. ratio of (A)/(B) of (1/20)-(2/3). Preferably, ingredient B mainly comprises an anionic or nonionic surfactant. The further addition of an alkanolamine in an amount of 0.5 wt.% or higher further improves the liquid stability. The alkanolamine may be added in the form of a salt of ingredient A or an anionic surfactant.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an article for laundry capable of effectively modulating perfume that smells during washing and remains in wearing a cloth, depending on the choice of a user by combining a product for cleaning including a detergent composition and a product including perfume prepared separately and properly using them in a washing process. SOLUTION: This article for laundry comprises a product for washing including (A) a detergent composition, and (B) a product including perfume differing from the product (A), and used only for imparting a smell. A detergent composition free from perfume or including only a small amount of perfume is preferred as the detergent used in the product (A), and the detergent composition is preferably used in a concentration of 0.01-0.2 wt.% in water in a washing vessel. The product (B) is preferably prepared so as to have a selectable perfume concentration by charging to a constant delivery pump or the like. The preferable concentration of the perfume is 7-12 wt.%. In the washing, the products (A) and (B) are thrown into a washing vessel, or throwing the product (A) in a washing vessel and the product (B) in a rinsing vessel.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a highly dense granular detergent, capable of producing the detergent having a high granule strength, having excellent flowability and caking resistance, and useful for washing clothes by subjecting the particles of a specific surfactant mixture to a compact molding method or a rolling granulation method at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: This highly dense granular detergent is obtained by spraying and drying an aqueous mixture comprising (A) a non-soap anionic surfactant, (B) a polyoxyethylene higher fatty acid monoethanolamide surfactant of the formula [R is a 7-19C (un)saturated hydrocarbon group; EO is oxyethylene; (n) is an average EO addition mole number of 0.5-3], and (C) an inorganic component such as amorphous sodium silicate, and subsequently subjecting the obtained dry particles to a compact molding method and subsequently to a crushing granulation method or to a rolling granulation method at a higher temperature by >=5 deg.C than the melting point of the component B. the components A, B and C are compounded at a B/A weight ratio of 0.05-1 and at a (A+B)/C weight ratio of 0.2-1 in the aqueous mixture, and the granulation is carried out so as to give an average granule diameter of 200-1000 μm.

SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) preferably 8-50 wt.% of a surfactant having a fatty acid permeability of >=0.13 and an HLB value of >=11 and (B) preferably 10-35 wt.% of a chelating agent having a Ca -chelate stability number of >=6. The component A is preferably a nonionic surfactant of the formula I (R1 is a 7-19C straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is H or a 1-3C alkyl; R, and R4 are each a 1-3C alkyl or alkenyl; (n) is 1-5), etc. The component B is e.g. a chelating agent of the formula II (M is a counter ion).
