    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently blow air off, by connecting an operating lever for deflecting plates to a closing plate for a bypass port for the air and by opening the bypass port when the blown-off air is oriented downward. CONSTITUTION:The first deflecting plate 17, which can be turned by the operating lever 18, and the second deflection plate 25, which consists of an arc-shaped inlet part 27 and an arc-shaped outlet part 28 and sharply changes the direction of the blown-off air in connection with the first deflecting plate 17, are provided in an air blow-off opening 9 of the air conditioner. The closing plate 30 for normally closing the bypass port 29 through which the blown-off air passes is moved in connection with the operating lever 18. The port 29 is opened only when the blown- off air is oriented downward. Therefore, the air is efficiently blown off horizontally or upward by the first and the second deflecting plates 17, 25. When the air is blown off downward, the quantity of the air is prevented from being decreased by the collision against the second deflecting plate 25.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain clean, relatively hard, and tasty ice by preparing ice-making cycle in which water flows on the surface of an ice-making element and controlling the flow speed so as to be delayed in order from the start to the end of ice-making. CONSTITUTION:An ice-making element 2 is arranged aslant in the upper part to the one side inside the body 1. Ice-making cycle is formed in which the water for ice- making is circulated on the ice-maing element 2 by a ram 4 arranged in a water tank 3. An ice-making completion detecting device 6 which performs switching when ice board has a prescribed thickness, is arranged in the vicinity to the ice- making element 2, and switches ice-making cycle and water-releasing cycle. An ice-storage amount detecting device 9 controls the operation and stop of all ice-making functions. A variable resistor 10 connected in series with the motor 4 of the ram 4 increases resistance value succesively from the time of start through timer control and controls the flow speed through ice-making cycle, and clear,hard, and tasty ice can be made.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the freezing of cold heat keeping foods upon cold heat accumulating operation and promote the convection of cold air upon cold heat keeping operation by a method wherein two modes of the cold heat accumulating operation and the cold heat keeping operation are formed by a partitioning plate and a damper. CONSTITUTION:A cooling chamber 19 is defined into an air discharging passage 19a at the side of a door 17 and an air sucking passage 19b at the opposite side of the door by a defining plate 34 equipped orthogonally to a partitioning plate 18 while cold air from an evaporator 27, which is sent by a fan 29, is circulated from a passage 31 to the passage 31 through a discharging port 32, a discharging air passage 19a, suction air passage 19b and an air suction port 33. Cold heat accumulating agent 21 is arranged in the discharging air passage 19a whereby the agent may be replaced arbitrarily by opening the door 17. The partitioning plate 18 is bored with a multitude of communicating holes 34, communicated with a receiving chamber 20 across the air discharging passage 19a and the suction air passage 19b, while a damper 35, opening and closing the communicating holes 24, is equipped at the lower surface of the partitioning plate 18.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shift the load to the night time so as to reduce the electricity cost by having cooling units independently for the refrigerator compartment and the freezer compartment, and using a thermal storage material for the refrigerator cooling cycle which is served by the night time power supply. CONSTITUTION:The cooling unit 15 for the freezer compartment 13 forms a first cooling cycle A in cooperation with a compressor 19 and a condenser 20, etc. in the equipment space 18. The compressor 19 is controlled its ON-OFF operation by a thermostat 21, and is operated by the normal power supply. The storage type cooling unit 24 for the refrigerator compartment 14 comprises a storage material 26 having the melting point of about -7 deg.C and a cooling unit 27, and forms a second cooling cycle B in cooperation with a compressor 28 and the condenser 20, etc. in the equipment space 18. The compressor 28 is controlled its ON-OFF operation by a thermostat 29 which detects the freezing condition of the storage material 26, and is connected to the night time power source. A thermostat 30 controls the ON-OFF operation of a fan 25 to maintain the refrigerator compartment at a set temperature.
