Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a toxic gas from being generated and to safely and accurately supply fuel by providing a furnace that burns solid fuel containing carbon, a means to control the capacity of a fan to circulate air, a means to count and control the burning time, an excess carbon dioxide gas adsorber and a fuel supply device. CONSTITUTION:The air in the storage compartment 15 is supplied to the furnace 27 through a duct 25 and a switch valve 56 by a fan 29 to burn the solid fuel 34. The waste gas enters into an adsorber 37 through cooling unit 28, connecting pipe 26, switch valve 43 and duct 39. Carbon dioxide is adsorbed by adsorbing material 47, and only nitrogen N2 is circulated to the storage compartment 15 through discharge pipe 41 and switch valve 44 out of a waste gas pipe 55. The fuel supply device 24 is operated to supply fuel for a desired period of time by a timer means 74. The capacity control means that controls the capacity of a fan 19 controls the air supply rate based on the signal from a gas monitor 60 that detects the oxygen concentration in the storage compartment 15.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent production of toxic gas by which an adverse influence is exercised on storage foods and to effect the safe and accurate feed of fuel by providing a storage chamber, solid fuel, a combustion furnace, a blower, an adsorber to adsorb carbon dioxide gas, a temperature detecting means, a fuel amount detecting means, and a fuel feed device. CONSTITUTION:In a storage chamber 15, first, N2 is 79% and O2 is 21%. With a carbon dioxide gas generating device 22 operated, air in the chamber is introduced to a combustion chamber 27 through a chamber 61 and a switching valve 56 by means of an introduction pipe 25 with the aid of a blower 29. The air is heated by a heater 36 for ignition and is fed for combustion of solid fuel 34. Combustion gas produces CO2 and N2, and after CO2 and N2 are cooled by a cooler 28, they enters an absorber 37 through a switching valve 43 and an introduction pipe 39 by means of a coupling pipe 26. In the absorber, CO2 is absorbed and only N2 is circulated to a storage chamber 15 through a discharge pipe 41 and a switching valve 44 by means of a discharge pipe 55. In order to prevent malfunction of a remaining amount sensor 74 for the solid fuel 34 in the combustion furnace 27 due to an oxidation film, temperature in the combustion chamber 27 is detected by a temperature detecting means 75 to actuate a fuel feed device 24.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title storage unit so designed that a carbon-contg. solid fuel is fed to a combustion oven and the air for combustion is circulated by a blower from a storehouse and an excess carbon dioxide is adsorbed by an adsorbing device, thereby preventing the generation of toxic gases having adverse effect on the stored foods. CONSTITUTION:The remaining level of a solid fuel 34 in a combustion oven 27 is detected by a remaining level sensor 74, and, based on the data, a relevant amount of fuel is replenished from a fuel feeder 24. The in-storehouse air is introduced by a blower 29 into the combustion oven 27 to burn the solid fuel 34 and the resultant combustion gas is cooled by a chiller and introduced into an adsorbing device 37 to effect adsorption of an excess carbon dioxide on an adsorbent 47, and then circulated into the storehouse 15. After a specified time, the adsorbing device 37 is put to changeover to a second device 38 to adsorb an excess carbon dioxide on a second adsorbent 48 and the rest of gas is circulated into the storehouse 15.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title unit so designed that an adsorption unit is put to changeover only when the CO2 gas concentration became higher than a specified level to adsorb and remove an excess CO2 gas, thereby reducing the entering oxygen flow and keeping the fresh food under a stabilized gaseous atmosphere in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The operation of a CO2 gas generator 8 is started and the in-storehouse 1 air is introduced, using a blower 14, via a lead-in pipe 10, a chamber 46 and a changeover valve 41, into a combustion oven 12 and heated by an ignition heater 21 to effect burning a solid fuel 19. The resultant combustion gas is cooled by a cooling unit 13 and introduced into an adsorption unit 22 where the CO2 gas is made to adsorb on an absorptive material 30 along with circulating the O2 via a discharge pipe 26, a changeover valve 29 and another discharge pipe 40, into the storehouse 1. And the CO2 gas discharged from the adsorptive material 30 saturated in its CO2-adsorptive capacity is discharged, via the pipe 40 into the storehouse 1 to increase the amount of the in-storehouse 1 CO2 along with decreasing the in-storehouse 1 O2 concentration, and when the amount of the CO2 is decreased to or blow a specified level, said amount is increased again through valves 28, 29, 33, 38, and detected using a gas monitor 45.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title unit so designed that a blower is operated for a specified time through the signal from an airtightness test switch to raise the pressure in a storehouse followed by actuating changeover valves closing the piping to the storehouse, thereby enabling the airtightness test in the storehouse to be made in a simple way. CONSTITUTION:After installing a fresh food storehouse, an airtightness test switch 48 is turned 'ON', and the signal from this switch 48 is inputted into the input terminal X2 of a sequencer 49, Y3, Y4, Y10 and Y11 are each turned 'ON' to turn changeover valves 28, 29, 51 and a blower 14 'ON', thus starting air-blow through a route i.e., the blower the valve 28 an adsorption unit 22 the valve 29 a valve 21 the store house 1 to raise the in-storehouse 1 pressure. When a specified time has passed the sequencer 49 turns Y3, Y4, Y10 and Y11 'OFF' to stop blowing to the storehouse 1, thus bringing the in- storehouse 1 pressure to a specified level. After a lapse of specified time, the in-storehouse 1 pressure is measured using a pressure gauge 52.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title unit so designed that a pressure-regulating bag retaining a specified volume under normal pressure, thereby keeping the interior of a fresh food storehouse under normal pressure to enable the fresh food to be stored for a long period. CONSTITUTION:When the operation of an evaporator 4 in a fresh food storehouse 1 is stopped, the gas in the storehouse 1 contracts to return into said storehouse 1 the gas in a pressure-regulating bag 48 with one end opened through a communicating pipe 49, thus keeping the in-storehouse 1 pressure under normal pressure. When the in-storehouse 1 temperature gradually rises to expand the gas present, said gas is introduced into said bag 48 to gradually expand the bag 48, and said bag 48 is most expanded just before the evaporator 4 begins operation, thus keeping the interior of the storehouse 1 under normal pressure.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep an optimum storing condition in a perishables storehouse, by providing the storehouse with a controlling means which goes back to the combustion or ventilation operation, on power supply restoration, when power failure happens during ventilation, and another controlling means which goes back to the operations before power failure on power supply restoration, when power failure happens after completion of replacement. CONSTITUTION:In case of power failure during combustion, an internal contact is set in the controlling means 50 so that it completes its operation, when the O2 concentration in chamber 46 reaches a prescribed level, and the contact is set so as to keep this state, even when the power fails. Therefore, when the power supply is restored, the operation comes back to the initial stage of combustion and the air-duct valve 49 is switched to introduce air into the combustion furnace. When power supply fails during ventilation, the internal contact is set so that the operation completes, when the O2 concentration reaches the same level as in the air and the state is maintained as before even when the power fails.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a combustion furnace from melting owing to abnormal increase of temperature, by providing a temperature detector and heater for the combustion furnace and control means of blower in a perishable food storage apparatus for feeding carbon dioxide gas generated from the combustion furnace to a storage house for vegetables, fruits, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a perishable food storage apparatus for feeding carbon dioxide gas generated in a combustion furnace 12 for burning carbon-containing fuel 19 to a storage house for perishable food and circulating air of the storage house 1 to the combustion furnace 12 by the action of blower 14 and adsorbing excess carbon dioxide in gases generated from the combustion furnace 12 with adsorbers 22 and 23, a temperature detector 48 is provided in the combustion furnace. When furnace temperature attains definite temperature or above, change-over bulb 50 and 51 are operated by the signal from the detector 48 and direct fire heater for fuel and blower 14 are stopped and control means 49 for giving an alarm are provided.
