    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a ceiling type air conditioner that hot air does not reach one's feet readily and warm air ascends to the vicinity of ceiling to cause an undue vertical temperature difference thus imparting uncomfortable feeling to residents. SOLUTION: Air outlets 6a-6g are arranged at the outer circumferential part of an air inlet 5 made substantially in the center of a decoration panel 4 and provided with wind direction varying means 7a-7g, respectively. At the time of thermo off, the wind direction varying means 7a-7g are controlled to alter the wind direction upward by a specified value and the air volume is increased by a specified value. Consequently, warm air ascended to the vicinity of ceiling is circulated in the room and vertical temperature difference is reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve comfortableness at the starting time of space heating and cooling operations and at the space heating time in an intermediate period when a draft is felt sensitively such as spring and fall. SOLUTION: When the temperature difference between a set temperature and an indoor temperature exceeds a predetermined value, a first group of louvers comprising louvers 101, 103, 105, and 107 swinging between the open and full-close positions by a motor 26 and a second group of louvers comprising louvers 102, 104, 106, and 108 swinging between the open and full-close positions by a motor 27 are swung in an opposite phase from each other. When the temperature difference is settled within the predetermined value, each of the louvers 101 to 108 is swung at the same rotation angle within the predetermined rotation angle or fixed within the predetermined rotation angle. Thereby, indoor air is agitated evenly at the starting time of space heating and cooling operations. When the temperature difference becomes within the predetermined temperature difference, an excessive draft is avoided to improve comfortableness.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce short-circuiting where one part of a blow-off air current is sucked by an air inlet in an air conditioner with multi-directional blow-off. SOLUTION: Since a plurality of air outlets 11 are provided in part of a decoration panel 9 other than part opposite to a coupling plate 12 for connecting both the ends of heat exchanger 7, a site opposite to the invalid part of the heat exchanger 7 is secured at a part other than a feedback path from the lower part of an air inlet 10 in advance as a main feedback wind path 14 where the clearance dimension between the air outlets 11 is large, thus reducing short- circuiting where a blow-off air current is sucked by the air inlet 10, improving the arrival property of the air current for increasing temperature at floor vicinity on heating, and at the same time allowing the air current to arrive at a remote location in a room for making the temperature uniform on cooling.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient pumping and an oil rate, even if oil having low viscosity is employed by supporting an oiling pump, having a diameter smaller than that of a rotary shaft of an electric motor into a cylindrical bore, forming an inclining passage between an upper end of the cylindrical bore and a lower part of a bearing, and forming a spiral groove on an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: In this hermetic electric compressor 1, wherein a compressor unit 6 formed by integrating an electric motor 3 and a compression mechanism 4 with a block 5 is housed in a hermetic container 2, an oiling pump 17 is pressed in to a cylindrical bore 18 which is disposed on a lower end of a rotary shaft 7 journalled to a bearing part 8 of the block 5 and which has a diameter smaller than that of the rotary shaft 7. An inclining passage 19 is disposed slantedly from an upper end of the cylindrical bore 18 and extendedly upward, and a cylindrical passage 31 is disposed extendedly upward from an upper end of the cylindrical bore 18. A spiral groove 20 is disposed to communicate with a sharing passage of the inclining passage 19 and the cylindrical passage 31 through a lower horizontal hole 21, and the upper end of the spiral groove 20 is disposed in an eccentric passage 23 in an eccentric shaft 9, while communicating with an upper horizontal hole 24.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficient head and an oil quantity by a relatively small- diameter shaft of low loss even in adopting low-viscosity oil by forming a small hole for oil injection in a position opposed to an approximately U-shaped slot for inserting a piston pin in the upper wall of the cylinder. SOLUTION: A feed pump 17 is pressed in and fixed to a cylindrical bore 18 of a diameter smaller than that of a rotary shaft 7 in the bottom end of the rotary shaft 7. An inclined passage 19 is so arranged as to be diagonally extended upward from the top end of the cylindrical bore 18, include the center of the cylindrical bore 18 in the inside diameter, make its one side approach the cylindrical bore 18 so as to internally touch therewith, bring the upper end in the lower part of a bearing 8, and make it approach to the outer circumferential face of the rotary shaft 7. A spiral groove 20 is communicated with an inclined passage 19 in a bottom lateral hole 21 and the top end of the spiral groove 20 is communicated with an eccentric passage 23 having an eccentric bore part enlarged in the upper part of the eccentric shaft 9 via the bottom lateral hole 24. The small hole 23b has approximately same height as the slot 5a and is opened to a part acting a centrifugal force in the eccentric passage 23.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve muffling performance and suction efficiency, by adding to a lead valve one or both of acoustic resonance energy determined by sizes of a suction hole and a reflecting plate and acoustic resonance energy determined by size of a branch pipe, and by controlling vibration amplitude. SOLUTION: In a compressing process when a piston 12 lifts up, a lead valve 15 closes, the suction gas in a duct 17 is blocked rapidly, the internal pressure increases, and the refrigerant gas flows from an opening 19' into a refrigerant passing branch pipe 19. In a next suction process, the pressure in a cylinder becomes negative, immediately the refrigerant gas is supplied from the refrigerant passing branch pipe 19 and is charged into the cylinder effectively. In addition, using energy generated at an acoustic resonance frequency determined by the length of a branch pipe 19, vibration amplitude of the lead valve 15 is controlled. When opening/closing timing of the lead valve is suitable in relation to the rotational angle of a crankshaft 9, vibration amplitude of the lead valve becomes larger cause by acoustic energy, the amount of the charged gas increases, and therefore, muffling performance is improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the charging amount into a cylinder, and maintain and improve performance, by placing a lead valve and a reflecting plate having a flowing hole in a duct between a suction hole and a suction muffler, and by controlling vibration amplitude of the lead valve with acoustic resonance energy between the suction hole and the reflecting plate. SOLUTION: A suction muffler 17 is connected with a suction hole 14 through a duct 18. A reflecting plate 19 having a flowing hole 20 is placed on the way of the duct 18. Pressure wave generated during opening/closing of a lead valve 15 propagates through the duct 18, and its part reflects on the reflecting plate 19 and propagates toward a lead. Then, acoustic resonance depending on sizes of the reflecting plate 19 and the suction hole 14 is provided. By adding resonance energy by adjusting the sizes when the lead valve 15 which vibrates at substantially a first natural frequency just starts opening, vibration amplitude of the lead valve 15 increases, the suction gas amount increases, and performance is improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain fluidity of a refrigerant gas to improve muffler performance, by providing a part of a duct between a suction hole and a suction muffler with a reflecting plate having partially a flowing hole, and by opening a sealing closet which passes part of the suction gas from the reflecting plate to the suction hole side using a branch pipe. SOLUTION: A duct 18 from a suction hole 14 of a cylinder block 7 to a suction muffler 17 is equipped with a reflecting plate 22 having a flowing hole 23, a branch pipe is formed between the reflecting plate 22 and the suction hole 14, and a sealing closet is connected with the end of the branch pipe. In a suction process, a refrigerant gas flows from the suction muffler 17 into a cylinder through the duct 18. In a compressing process, a lead valve 15 closes, a gas in the duct 18 is suddenly blocked, the internal pressure increases, and therefore, the gas is filled into the sealing closet through the branch pipe. The gas continues to flow upward, the gas in the sealing closet flows into the duct 18 as soon as the next suction process begins. Because the flow of the suction gas becomes continuous and suction efficiency is improved, muffling performance of the suction muffler 17 is improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relive the discontinuity of a refrigerant gas flow generated according to the opening and closing of a reed valve which opens and closes a suction hole, and also controls the vibration amplitude of the read valve. SOLUTION: A closed small chamber 9 is opened through a branch pipe in a pipe line 18 between a suction port 14 and a suction muffler 17. When a reed valve 15 is closed, gas is led into the closed chamber once and, when the reed valve 15 is opened again, the gas in the small chamber is made to flow out immediately so as to reduce the sucking delay and increase suction efficiency. Also a sound resonance energy determined by the specifications of the closed small chamber and the branch pipe is used so as to control the amplitude of the reed valve to increase the performance and efficiency.
