Abstract: Relating to oil feed to a piston portion in a dual support bearing of a hermetic compressor, and a structure for improving efficiency and reliability and accomplishing reduction of noise is disclosed. In this structure, since an auxiliary bearing 119 is provided with an oil feed passage 129 for conducting lubricating oil 108 discharged from an upper end of an oil feed mechanism 114, to a sliding surface of a piston 120, the lubricating oil 108 is fed to the piston 120 and a piston pin 122 from the oil feed passage 129 to make the sealing performance excellent, so that the amount of leakage of refrigerant gas from a compression chamber 117 is reduced to improve the freezing capability or efficiency. Further, lubrication of sliding portions of the piston 120 and the piston pin 122 becomes excellent so that noise caused by sliding is reduced and the reliability is improved.

Abstract: A closed motor-driven compressor includes a closed vessel containing a lubricating oil collected in a bottom portion thereof, a compression section accommodated in the closed vessel, and a motor section accommodated in the closed vessel for driving the compression section. The compression section includes a crankshaft driven by the motor section and having a lower end submerged in the lubricating oil, and a block for rotatably supporting the crankshaft. The block has a cylinder formed therewith and having an open end. The block also has a rib formed therewith, a generally flat shoulder portion formed on one side of the cylinder, and a leg formed below the generally flat shoulder portion. The compression section also includes a cylinder head secured to the rib for covering the open end of the cylinder. An oil guide is formed with the block for guiding to the bottom portion of the closed vessel a lubricating oil that is sucked up from the lower end of the crankshaft, caused to spout out from the upper end of the crankshaft, and collected on the generally flat shoulder portion. The oil guide prevent the oil from dropping on and flowing over a suction muffler disposed below the rib, and also prevents the oil from dropping directly on the bottom portion of the closed vessel.

Abstract: A refrigerant compressor includes a compressor section, driver, a first contact section and a second contact section. The compressor section is accommodated in a closed container for compressing refrigerant gas. The driver drives the compressor section. The first and second contact sections are brought into contact with each other or they slide with each other by driving the compressor section. On the surface of each one of the contact sections, at least one of plural recesses uniformly placed or a mixed layer, to which molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is bound, is formed. The foregoing structure allows increasing the abrasion resistance of the first and second contact sections.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil from flowing down in a suction muffler, from being transmitted on its surface to flow down or from flowing down directly in a hermetic vessel bottom part, by controlling a flow path letting flow down oil standing in an upper part plane into oil stored in the hermetic vessel bottom part. SOLUTION: A dam 15 connected to a rib 12 to be extended to an upper part plane 10 is formed in both ends of the rib 12, a hollow-shaped groove 18 extended downward from the upper part plane 10 is formed in a leg 11, so that flowing down of oil accumulated in the upper part plane 10 in a suction muffler 14 can be prevented from being transmitted in a surface of the suction muffler 14 to flow down, and flowing down directly in a bottom part of a hermetic vessel can be prevented.
