PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistive film type touch panel that detects the pressing position on a screen (x, y coordinates) as well as the pressure in z axis direction.SOLUTION: The resistive film type transparent touch panel is configured by laminating the peripheries of first and second members with a frame adhesive layer so that first and second transparent conductive films face each other with a predetermined gap. In the first member, a first transparent conductive film as a resistance film is formed on the upper face of a transparent board, and a first pair of electrodes for position detection are formed at the both ends of the first direction of the first transparent conductive film.In the second member, a second transparent conductive film as a resistance film is formed on the lower face of a flexible transparent film, and a second pair of electrodes for position detection are formed at the both ends of a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction of the second transparent conductive film. The depressing point is detected on the basis of the potentials of the first and the second pairs of electrodes for position detection. Furthermore, the resistive film touch panel is provided with a conductive transparent pressure-sensitive ink film whose electric characteristics change with a pressurizing force added to the facing surfaces of the first member and the second member.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device for simultaneously detecting multiple points and precisely deciding each point to be pressed without increasing the number of electrodes. SOLUTION: The touch panel device 1 is configured of: a touch panel 4 including a strip-like interdigital electrode; a matrix detecting means 5; a matrix storing means 6; and an analog detecting means 7. The matrix detecting means 5 decides an intersection matrix of a pressed point by digital matrix detection, stores the matrix in the matrix storing means 6. The analog detecting means 7 calculates the position of the pressed point by applying an analog detection method to an electrode forming the intersection matrix stored in the matrix storing means. SOLUTION: The protective panel has the touch input function of analog resistive film system of detecting an X-Y coordinates used as an operating position, by a potential gradient based on touch operation to a front face side substrate 6. A rear face side substrate 5 and the front face side substrate 6 have contact points 5G, 6G connected in series to resistive films 5A, 6A through the distribution circuits 5C, 6C so as to have a potential difference and arranged to face with a predetermined space when the rear face side substrate 5 and the front face side substrate 6 are connected. When voltage is applied between electrodes 5D, 6D on one side of the rear face side substrate 5 and front face side substrate 6 by the contact points 5G, 6G, the switches 12 are configured to detect the presence of contact of the contact points 5G, 6G based on voltage detected by electrodes 6D, 5D on the other side.
