    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce as much as possible a position shift between an ink pressurizing chamber having a heating resistor and an ink ejection nozzle corresponding to the ink pressurizing chamber. SOLUTION: In this method, a correction member 4 having a coefficient of linear expansion roughly equal to a coefficient of linear expansion of a substrate member 6 is stuck to a nozzle forming member 2 and then the expansion or contraction of the nozzle forming member 2 due to temperature variation is executed along the coefficient of linear expansion of the substrate member 6. A forming interval L1 of the ink ejection nozzles at a temperature that a print head 1 is used is determined by the following expressions. L1=L2(α2ΔT-1)/(α1ΔT-1) L2: a nozzle interval at the use temperature after the print head is completed α1: a coefficient of linear expansion of the nozzle forming member α2: a coefficient of linear expansion of the correction member T1: a sticking temperature when the nozzle forming member and the correction member are stuck with each other ΔT: a difference between the sticking temperature T1 and the use temperature.

Openings of the nozzles are arranged contiguous to each other on the nozzle opening surface, i.e., one major surface 41b, and a plurality of constant quantity nozzles 53 are arranged around an ejection medium nozzle 54. When tapered nozzle parts 63, 65 are provided, channel resistance of the nozzles 53, 54 decreases and a smooth liquid flow is realized thus preventing bubbles from being left at the time of initial filling of dilute solution.

SOLUTION: Driving voltage of first and second multilayer piezoelectric elements 43, 44 is raised in two stages and the second time rising of driving voltage is synchronized with the timing at which the liquid level of a fixed quantity medium 45 and a jetting medium 49 is reset to the open end of nozzles 53, 54 thus generating a pressure in the direction for sucking the fixed quantity medium 45 and the jetting medium 49 to the corresponding nozzle 53, 54. Consequently, the speed at which the fixed quantity medium 45 and the jetting medium 49 return back to the forward end of the corresponding nozzle 53, 54 is braked appropriately thus preventing the fixed quantity medium 45 and the jetting medium 49 from leaking through the open end of the nozzles 53, 54. According to the arrangement, accurate quantity of the fixed quantity medium 45 and the jetting medium 49 can be mixed depending on the gradation.

At the rear stages, an ink determination section driver 17a and a carrier liquid ejection driver 17b are further connected thereto. Density data is inputted from an input circuit 14. The timing control circuit 16 executes the correction controlling of the ejection timings of the ink determination section driver 17a and carrier liquid ejection driver 17b on the basis of the density data in accordance with the correction value in the ROM 16a. Thereby, the position of coloring liquid is assured without being shifted.

CONSTITUTION: An orifice plate 1 is formed as a laminated plate, a first and a second feed orifice 21, 22 are provided on a first plate 11 (1a), and a nozzle 23 which discharges a mixture of two different types of liquid to be supplied from the first and the second feed orifice 21, 22, is formed on a second plate 12 (1b). A diluent should contain at least, a water-soluble organic diluent, and contain aliphatic monohydric alcohol. The preferable content of this monohydric alcohol is about 5 to 50wt.%. If the content is proper, the monohydric alcohol makes the bleeding uniform, increases the permeability of the mixture into a recording sheet and the evaporative capability of the mixture. Thus an image is better fixed and is of a high quality.

Alternatively, the irregular portion may be formed by sand blast processing, chemical etching or a polishing brush. The light energy is preferably laser and, more preferably, excimer laser. The article to be processed may be of organic, inorganic or metallic materials.
