Abstract: A tape cassette with tape reels mounted therewithin having an opening portion formed in one side of the tape cassette and a notched portion formed in the lower surface of the cassette in a position adjacent to the opening portion, wherein a tape wound round the tape reels is passed along the opening portion, characterized by the combination therewith of an improved construction comprising a front cover capable of being opened and closed which covers the front face of the tape passed along the opening portion and an inner cover capable of being opened and closed which covers the back of the tape in an opposed relation to the front cover, whereby the tape is enclosed while being held from before and behind between the front cover and the inner cover and consequently the adhesion of dust or the like to the tape and the damage of the tape can be prevented.

SOLUTION: The disk chucking mechanism is provided with three holding members 5 which perform spring energization with the push spring 7 in the direction of an outer periphery on the chucking part 3 of a turntable 1, and three propeller-like locking plates 8 are horizontally and turnably supported in the center of the chucking part 3. In the state in which a disk 12 inserted in the chucking part 3 is clamped by three holding members 5, the holding members 5 are fixed so as not to retreat by turning the locking plates 8 and engaging the locking plates 8 with engagement grooves 11 formed on the side face of the holding members 5, and then the disk 12 is chucked.

When the last information block is erased, the detector 11 detects the start position of the last information block through the reproduction of the head 2 from the unwound magnetic tape 1 with the two continuous operations of the 'END SEARCH' button. Then, it is possible to position and record the new information block from the position with high accuracy and to perform record erasure of the last information block with high accuracy.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to arrange the mounting position of a recording/ reproducing pickup device in the same direction as the insertion direction of a disk cartridge, a direction perpendicular thereto or a direction diagonal therewith by providing a shutter with >=2 shutter members overlapping on each other and freely movably mounting these shutter members on a cartridge casing. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge DK1 comprises an optical disk D which is freely rotatably housed in the cartridge casing 10 formed by superposing a pair of upper shell 11 and lower shell 12 on each other, the shutter member 15 which slides along a guide groove 26 and the shutter member 16 which slides along a guide groove 27. When the cartridge casing 10 is pushed in by a pushing action, right and left opening/closing projections engage with engaging holes 23 and slide the shutter member 15. Further, the shutter member 16 slides in superposition on the shutter member 15 and more than half the information recording surface of the disk D may be exposed. The head part of the pickup is thus easily disposed to face the information recording surface.
