    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a receiver which can display a plurality of pictures without missing, by using the aspect ratio of a display screen of a picture tube different from the usual, and displaying another picture at the rest part of the display screen. CONSTITUTION:Although the aspect ratio of a normal television screen is 1: 1.33, the ratio of this invention, as shown in Figure, is 1:1.85. In this screen, a main picture 1, in 1:1.33 of aspect ratio is pictured on the left and the 1st sub- narrow-picture 2a is displayed in the range of 0.39 from the upper in the rest part and a blank 3a for channel display is provided, as example, in the range of 0.11 at the lower part. Further, the 2nd sub-narrow-picture 2b is pictured in the range of 0.39 below it and a blank 3b is provided in the range of 0.11 at the lowermost part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct the linearity of horizontal deflection, by detecting asymmetric components of the current flowed to a main horizontal deflecting coil and by controlling the voltage to a horizontal deflecting coil for correction by this detection output. CONSTITUTION:A current im flowed to a main horizontal deflecting coil 2 is converted to a voltage Vm by a resistor 6, and this voltage Vm is applied to a rectifying circuit 12 through transistors Q1 and Q2 and a rectifying circuit 11 to obtain positive and negative peak values Vp and Vn of the voltage Vm. Next, a difference Vd between voltages Vp and Vn is obtained by differential amplifiers Q3 and Q4, and this differential voltage Vd is supplied to an amplifier 7 to control the gain of the amplifier, thereby controlling the voltage to a horizontal deflecting coil 3 for correction. Then, even if the inductance and the resistance of the coil 2 are changed to change the time constant, the linearity of horizontal deflection is not degraded because the differential voltage is changed to change the gain of the amplifier in accordance with said change.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a constant deflection speed, by providing the deflection coil for correction other than the main horizontal deflection coil, taking n-th power for parabola voltage in horizontal period, and correcting the change in the deflection speed with the trapezoidal wavelike correcting voltage of horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:The main horizontal deflection coil 51 is arranged at the back of the picture tube 60, and the horizontal deflection coil 52 for correction is provided to the coil 51 at the back of the coil 51. The S shape correction capacitor 55 is connected in series with the coil 51 to produce the parabola voltage in horizontal period across the coil. This voltage is fed to the square circuit 80 through a capacitor 71 and resistor 72, and square is made with the square characteristics of the diode 82 to generate the correction voltage of almost trapezoidal shape. The voltage squaring the parabola voltage in horizontal period with the square circuit 80 is fed to the amplifier 90 through the level adjusting potentiometer 73 and capacitor 74 and given to the correction coil 52 with a given polarity to correct the change in the deflection speed, so that the deflection speed can be constant from the left end to right on the screen.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct linearity of a horizontal deflection almost completely with a simple method, by picking up a voltage proportional to the current of the main horizontal deflection coil and applying this voltage across a correction use horizontal deflection coil. CONSTITUTION:A correction use horizontal deflection coil 30 is provided for the picture tube 10 of a TV receiver, in addition to the main horizontal deflection coil 20. This coil 20 is connected with a series circuit of an S-shaped correction capacitor 40 and a current detection resistor 50. Further, a voltage proportional to the current flowing to the coil 20 across the resistor 50 is produced, and after this voltage is amplified at the amplifier 60, it is fed across the correction use horizontal deflection coil 30 via the capacitor 70, and the current flowing to the correction use horizontal deflection coil 30 is almost changed linearly with the elapse of time, and the linearity of horizontal deflection is almost completely corrected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect surely a position, where an index fluorescent substance stripe is omitted, even for reproducing of single color by gating three- primary color signals in respective fluorescent substance stripe positions and thier middle positions. CONSTITUTION:Index fluorescent substance stripes I are formed at the ratio of three to two sets of color fluorescent substance stripes R, G and B, and stripes I are omitted at the ratio of six to one. Output signals of photo detector 20 are supplied to BPF21 to obtain index signal SIH. This signal is supplied to PLL23 to obtain signal PL of a frequency twice as high as the frequency of signal SIH, and signal PL is supplied to gate pulse generator 30. Meanwhile, signal SIL from BPF22 and signal SIH are supplied to mode set pulse generator 70 to obtain mode set pulse PS which is obtained at a fixed position for the position where stripe I is omitted, and this pulse PS controls generator 30. As the result, signals FR, FG and FB which gate stripes R, G and B and their middle positions are obtained and gate three-primary color signals.
