Abstract: An FM receiver having a signal transmission capability includes an FM signal receiving circuit including a local oscillator and an FM detector for receiving an FM signal and for demodulating the received signal to derive an audio signal therefrom. A frequency controller is responsive to a control signal for controlling the oscillating frequency of the local oscillator of the FM signal receiving circuit. A portion of the signal produced by the FM detector as well as a signal to be transmitted by the FM receiver are supplied to a first switch, the first switch being adapted to apply either of the signals supplied thereto to the frequency controller as a control signal therefor. A second switch is selectively operable to turn the control signal on or off.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit which can accurately match the convergence of each part even with difference of the convergence correcting value due to unequal winding of a deflection coil, by splitting a screen into a plurality and performing the convergence at each split part independently. CONSTITUTION:To an input terminal 1, a signal superimposing a parabola wave of vertical period on a horizontal period parabola wave is applied and to an input terminal 2(3), a signal superimposing a vertical period parabola wave on a horizontal period lower right (upper right) saw tooth wave is applied. Vertical and horizontal synchronizing signals are applied to input terminals 4 and 5 respectively and a signal inverted at the center of the vertical and horizontal scanning periods is formed with monostable multivibrators 30 and 31. Thus, a switch 24 turns on at the upper left quadrant of the screen, a signal from the terminals 1 and 2 is adjusted with variable resistors 11 and 19 for convergence. Similarly, switches 25, 26 and 27 are sequentially closed and the convergence is made in the order of upper right, lower left and lower right.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the index pulse having no change of the phase, by forming the threshold voltage which varies in proportion to the amplitude of the index signal. CONSTITUTION:The index signal detected by the photodetector 21 is divided through the BPF22 into the index signals having the opposite phase to each other. These two signals are supplied to the waveform shaping circuit 50 consisting of the amplitude detector 60, the sample holding circuit 70 and the level comparator 90 each. Then the both signals undergo a full-wave detection through the detector 60, and this detection signal receives the sample holding at the sample holding circuit 70. The sample holding voltage varies in proportion to the change of the amplitude of the index signal. Thus this voltage is used for the threshold voltage of the comparator 90 to receive a level comparison with the index signal. In such way, the index pulse with no change of the phase can be obtained although the amplitude of the index signal may vary.

CONSTITUTION:Although the aspect ratio of a normal television screen is 1: 1.33, the ratio of this invention, as shown in Figure, is 1:1.85. In this screen, a main picture 1, in 1:1.33 of aspect ratio is pictured on the left and the 1st sub- narrow-picture 2a is displayed in the range of 0.39 from the upper in the rest part and a blank 3a for channel display is provided, as example, in the range of 0.11 at the lower part. Further, the 2nd sub-narrow-picture 2b is pictured in the range of 0.39 below it and a blank 3b is provided in the range of 0.11 at the lowermost part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the phase of an output signal from being changed because of the level of the amplitude of an input signal by providing an amplifier section giving a larger delay by an output signal of a limiter section as the lead of the phase of the signal outputted from the limiter section is increased more. CONSTITUTION:A limiter circuit consists of the limiter section LIM and the amplifier section AMP amplifying its output signal Vm. The limiter section LIM consists of a resistor R1, a DC blocking capacitor C1 and two diodes D1 and D2. The amplifier section AMP consists of a common emitter circuit comprising a transistor (TR)Q1 and an emitter follower circuit comprising a TRQ2. The phase of the output signal Vm of the limiter section LIM is led more, as the amplitude of an input signal Vin is larger. On the other hand, the phase of an output signal Vout of the amplifier section AMP is lagged more as the amplitude of the input signal Vin is larger. Thus, the amplifier section AMP acts like a phase compensating means.
