    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively separate a specific isomer from an isomeric mixture of the titled compounds nuclear substituted by chlorine and fluorine atoms, by using faujasite based zeolite as an adsorbent in separating the above- mentioned mixture with an adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:An isomeric mixture of aromatic halogen compounds nuclear substituted by chlorine and fluorine atoms is separated with an adsorbent. In the process, faujasite based zeolite, preferably zeolite X or zeolite Y is used as an adsorbent to selectively adsorb the aimed isomer. Thereby the aimed isomer 3-chloro-4-fluorobenzotrifluoride useful as an intermediate for agricultural chemicals and medicines is extremely readily and economically separated from the above-mentioned isomeric mixture thereof, particularly isomeric mixture of monochloromonofluorobenzotrifluorides in ultrahigh purity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition higher in heat resistance than conventional polyphenylene sulfide resin, essentially comprising a block copolymer composed of polyphenylene sulfide segment and polyphenylene sulfide ketone segment. SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by blending (A) a block copolymer composed of polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) segment and polyphenylene sulfide ketone(PPSK) segment with (B) PPS and/or PPSK and/or (C) a fibrous and/or granular reinforcing material (e.g. glass fiber, wallastonite). The component A, which is pref. 1-1,000g/10min in melt flow rate at 372 deg.C, is pref. produced by desalting condensation between an alkali metal sulfide and a dihaloaromatic compound. This resin composition is typically produced by compounding the above components under molten conditions in an extruder followed by pelletization; in this case, the kneading temperature is pref. 280-400 deg.C.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a kind of mixed polyamide chips which is composed of a mixture of two or more kinds of polyamide chips of different titanium oxide contents with specific chemical compounds, and able to retain improved homogeneity and always a constant composition and produce products of stable quality. SOLUTION: This kind of mixed polyamide chips comprises two or more kinds of polyamide chips that contain or does not contain different quantities of titanium oxide, and are mixed with a polyoxyalkylene compound (e.g. tetraoxyethylene nonyl phenylene ether) shown by a formula of R-A-O-(R'-O)n -H or R-O-(R'-O)n -H (R is a 1-16C alkyl; A is phenylene; R' is a 2-4C alkylene; (n) is 1-12). Preferably the polyoxyalkylene compound has kinematic viscosity of 5000cSt or less at 30 deg.C. Sufficient effects are obtained when the difference of titanium oxide contents is 0.03wt.% or more.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently separate m-dichlorobenzene(DCB) in high purity from a DCB isomer mixture comprising o, m and p-DCBs using specific zeolite as adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:When a DCB isomer mixture comprising o, m and p-DCBs is put to adsorptive separation, the m-DCB is separated and recovered through e.g. chromatographic fractination techinque or adsorptive separation technique with pseudo moving bed using, as adsorbent, a zeolite, pref. a crystalline aluminosilicate belonging to faujasite-type zeolite containing K and Pb at the molar ratio Pb /(Pb +2K )=0.1-0.8 (pref. 0.2-0.5) as the essential components, thus markably improving the adsorptive separation efficiency. For a desorbing agent, 3,4-dichlorotoluene is esp. preferable, and as the operational conditions for the adsorptive separation, it is preferable that the operation be carried out in a liquid phase at room temperature to 350 deg.C (pref. 50-250 deg.C) under a pressure of the atmospheric pressure to 50kg/cm G (pref. the atmospheric pressure to 40kg/cm G).
